Last story: it really makes me angry that op just sits and lets his mom do this. If you're not going to do anything about it, you deserve it.
Not having been the child of a malignant narcissist like OP, I don’t really feel like I can say much more than 2 words: LAWYER. UP. It’s the universal way to cut down on bull5h1t people and bull5h1t situations created by aforementioned BS people. If, after having received good advice from a lawyer OP STILL can’t figure out how to get their thumb out of their a55 they deserve to have an old grandma come over to first explain she’s going to help OP with her situation, then proceed to SLAP the 5h1t out of OP for being a dumbass. “I don’t like confrontation” only goes so far, then it’s ridiculous. This evil hosebeast is committing a FELONY where OP is the victim, they need to stop looking at her as a MOM figure and change that to EVIL HOSEBEAST that must be dealt with.

I am angry with the mom. I will never say that the victim in the FOG deserves to be a victim even though, in this case, he should press charges.
Last story...if she had 330k mother should have paid in full. OP should have learned the lesson and not lent ANY SORT OF MONEY. Mom stealing 160k wasn't a RED FLAG
Final story: You have one thing to do, and one thing only. She stole from you and forged documents. She must be reported to the proper authorities. If you do not report her and have her charged, you have no business crying about it.
The last story deserves this crap. By not getting their money back right away, and informing the insurance company, along with pursuing legal action for falsifying documents, they made their own bed. If you can't fight to get what you deserve, then you deserve the crap you get.
Not everyone can just throw family under the bus no matter how horrible they have been. Dude probably never even once thought of actually reporting the situation to authorities. That dude at the end is too stupid to be given $160k I mean if you were in his shoes, I would hope that the first thing you would do when you discovered that your mother had $330k but refused to give you the $160k she owed you, would be to tell her that this is her last moments and last chance. She can either give you what she stole from you, or she can go to jail for theft and forgery

I suspect the reason the parents want the brother to be at the wedding, so he could stand up and demand that they not get married, because "he and the ex were still in love". After all, why should the "wrong bother not have his wedding and blissful marriage if the golden child did not get one first.
