yeah I mentioned it in an annotation D: I turned the volume up to check something because it was sounding funny and then rendered it with the volume still up. My bad. Sorry guys!
Just wanted to say, I played Journey for the first time starting at 11AM today, I played and beat it at around 3, and didn't realize how much time had gone by I was having so much fun. Thanks for always mentioning it, it's literally one of the best games I've ever played and is as every bit as awesome as you always say it is. Also it's perfect for people with ADD. :3
to be honnest i like the music levels at there, i've never noticed there was music when you were talking so now that i hear it, it feels more "Intresting" to say the least to me.
I really hope that the Ouya will be a big thing. I think that is definitely the path we want the gaming industry to take, and showing companies like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo that this is what we want a console to be like, could be a really good thing.
I first heard that City of Heroes was shutting down from my best friend. We both almost cried talking about it. That's a part of my childhood, and I can't believe it's going away forever.
Here's a clarification on the CoH shutdown events: The events planned are all replays of past special events. There isn't a big end of the world scenario that's being built up. The developers would probably have wanted to do something new and big, but the the entirety of Paragon Studios was shut down and all development halted the day of the announcement.
Awesome news all around, btw on the Guild trailer are you the one with the pink glasses? I ask because right when they show you(assuming that is you the screen goes all pixelated, so I wanted to confirm. Anyway cheers!
On CoH: the game is already essentially in "maintenance mode." They fired the dev team on the day of the closure announcement, and are just running through the games' pre-built annual events one last time before the game shuts down officially. Sadly, there's no closing narrative planned because there's nobody doing any more dev work. That's not really big news, though. The big thing about CoH now is the huge player campaign to try and save the game: ireport[dot]cnn[dot]com/docs/DOC-840174
You can still download the client, can still make new characters, they are not 'creating a narrative for the end of the universe,' there is no armageddon, and the details of what they are doing are in my 'Final CoH Events' video. Saying CoH is 'finally' getting shut down added a negative connotation as it came out the same year that WoW did also.
It's main hook for me is that it comes with a development kit. So I'm personally interested. I know most mainstream gamers won't get it cause the system is geared for indie/flash games.
I just saw the Ouya... I thought it was going to be a handheld system but it's not... I see no reason why developers or even ordinary people wouldn't want to develop for it! It's totally customizable! Customizable even down to the hardware and the projected price for the unit is $99.00! I hope that price actually sticks! At that price I'd definitely buy it on the side to see what it's about! If this thing takes off, the gaming industry will get a lot more interesting...
Hey Dodger yknow the end screen on your videos? Are you gonna start making them actually lead to the videos? like for example this one leads to the Sherlock video but it doesnt actually link you to it. Would be a great help for those too lazy to go look XD
Ouya is the first console i'll be buying on launch since my ps2. I never got round to getting ps3 since team ICO turned last guardian into vapourware. Be nice to have a console again.
Hey dodger, i remember getting into this channel a long time ago. At the first, it was the name that catched my atention(for some reason. Maybe because you'r a girl to :D), but after a while i really started to like the whole channel thing ! :) Like the Newz fo examble :D i really like it! Keep it up gro !
I ended my subscription to City of Heroes some time ago, but I feel sad about the end of a game that brought me thousands of hours of fun, and introduced me to friends from around the world. The game was economically sustainable; CoH/CoV is getting closed so that the extra money from firing the staff of this game could be pumped into currently money losing games that earned more money in the past.
i played CoH and paid prolly 80$ through my entire expirience with that game, my favorite part was pretty much the character creation, highest level i ever got with a character was 20...it had its ups and downs but all in all its always sad to see an MMO that has been around for years go down :(
I think its sad that more publishers aren't interested in the Vita. I love mine even though it is seriously lacking in the game library. It has so much potential.
People were excited for Mass Effect, so it was going to sell a ton whatever shape it was in. Nobody was excited for NBA Live so it wasn't going to sell unless it was very good.
Well, whole series is about 7-8 hours long wouldn't take too long unlike marathoning primetime serieses, but they have recaps of all the previous seasons on GeekAndSundry.
Still kinda sad over CoH closing down,Great game system, character creator i could loose myself in for hours and most of all a stelar community, some of them became real life friends. The only thing about the closure that irks me is that the game had no direct competition (champions and dcu dont come close to this game) and was still in making a profit,it just did not gain ground with the asian market like gw2 did so NCsoft pulled the plug
EA and EA sports might have different quality standards. Plus there's a difference between having a rushed, low quality game, and one that is 100% not finished and lacking core features. We don't know which one the NBA game would have been had it been released.
Developers are probably not interested in the Vita because the PSP's most successful games were more likely ported to the PS2 or PS3 rendering their existence on the PSP a moot point.
That is only partly true. You would be very wrong if you underestimated the anticipation and popularity of sports games amongst fans of the genre's . The reasoning is in fact sound. These games release in conjunction with the real life sports seasons so that they can track stats in real time and so on. In all likelihood the sales of the game would be irrecoverably harmed by a late launch. Andromidius makes a valid point as well though. That is of course if ME3 is unfinished and buggy.
You know, I watched the first season of the guild a long time ago. It was okay, but not being a big MMO player I just walked away. Do I have to watch the other 5 seasons to catch up for the sixth?
City of Heroes MIGHT be doing the double XP thing to make sure that most players will be at the level cap before the big "Armageddon", don't quote me on that though :/
Well, our wonderful Dodger seems to back my feelings about Felicia on these very comments where she said that Felicia gets very dedicated to playing one game at a time rather than many at once. So I believe that Dodger herself, has settled this very argument.
City of heroes looked cool but I never got to play it, even though the idea of a MMO full of superheroes is a bit weird. At least it'll have a cool event before it goes down.
I haz a Vita myself, and I agree that it is an amazing system, but, the issue is that theres only a dozen games for it. :/ Thankfully, though I've noticed that a few games are getting ready to be released soon, and Little Big Planet, was released just a few days ago! :D for the Vita. :3
well...the ouya looks like its gonna be a great console for casual gamers. i cant see myself gettin it because those kind of games only entertain me for a half hour a day then i just switch back to hardcore games
Have you heard of the game Cubeworld made by two developers, Wollay and his wife(I believe); If so what do you think of it? Is it your style of game? Would you buy it once it is out?
yeah I mentioned it in an annotation D: I turned the volume up to check something because it was sounding funny and then rendered it with the volume still up. My bad. Sorry guys!
Can't wait for my Ouya. Also having the sources in the description is awesome.
Congrats on the Guild appearance!! and great commentary too. I'm interested in seeing how the Ouya does, i hope it becomes a huge deal :)
Just wanted to say, I played Journey for the first time starting at 11AM today, I played and beat it at around 3, and didn't realize how much time had gone by I was having so much fun.

to be honnest i like the music levels at there, i've never noticed there was music when you were talking so now that i hear it, it feels more "Intresting" to say the least to me.
I love that the ouya its getting so much atention. Im exited to see what they do with it.
I had never heard of The Guild before you mentioned it just now. That was 7 hours of my day WELL SPENT! :D :D
I don't know how, first of all, I didn't know about this channel until recently. Second, Dodger makes my day every time she puts up a video.
That background music! So clear. Yet not overbearing. Well done my good lady.
it's a webshow by Felicia Day about a variety of personalities that all make up an MMO guild and the shenanigans they get into :)
I've never really listened to the music before. Now that its more up there I find that i like it.
I really hope that the Ouya will be a big thing. I think that is definitely the path we want the gaming industry to take, and showing companies like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo that this is what we want a console to be like, could be a really good thing.
Dodger, so glad to see you well again; even more beautiful with some energy in you.
grats on your work on The Guild :) very exciting news for you!
I cannot believe I haven't come across you yet :D also the 8bit intro is absolute awesome.
PS. Dont ever fucking get rid of that hair colour.
I first heard that City of Heroes was shutting down from my best friend. We both almost cried talking about it. That's a part of my childhood, and I can't believe it's going away forever.

The developers would probably have wanted to do something new and big, but the the entirety of Paragon Studios was shut down and all development halted the day of the announcement.
The music FINALLY cut well!
Haha glad to see i am not the only person that will play many different games at once! You're awesome!! ^_^
Awesome news all around, btw on the Guild trailer are you the one with the pink glasses? I ask because right when they show you(assuming that is you the screen goes all pixelated, so I wanted to confirm. Anyway cheers!

When dodger was talking about the guild on CT yesterday i watched series 1-5 in one go.
So i totally spotted you in the guild trailer,, your filming in the pink shirt and glasses if i'm not blind! :D
SHE'S BACK!
that bonus video was adorable...
Best analogy I've seen yet.
Loving the background tune.
Tutudututututudu.
It's main hook for me is that it comes with a development kit. So I'm personally interested. I know most mainstream gamers won't get it cause the system is geared for indie/flash games.
In the Guild were you obligated by contract NOT to have red hair? Does Felicia have to be the only redhead? Loved it!
The fact that the UMDs we were forced into getting not working on a nearly-identical console probably didn't help it along either.
The funny part is that, even though Dodger is just in frame for a split second.. they still managed to capture her vlogging... xD
I just saw the Ouya... I thought it was going to be a handheld system but it's not... I see no reason why developers or even ordinary people wouldn't want to develop for it! I am loving Dodger's anime girl hairstyle. The fact that she now has 2 hair ties on it to make it even more anime-like just made my day XD
Hey Dodger yknow the end screen on your videos? Are you gonna start making them actually lead to the videos? like for example this one leads to the Sherlock video but it doesnt actually link you to it. Would be a great help for those too lazy to go look XD
The music is so rad!
The Vita looks like a great handheld. I wish I had the spare cash to get one. Maybe by the time I do, it'll have a bigger and better library of games.
Thought that was you in the trailer :-)
You + Felicia Day = awesomeness!
Dodge in the Guild: best combo possible.
Ouya is the first console i'll be buying on launch since my ps2. I never got round to getting ps3 since team ICO turned last guardian into vapourware.
Be nice to have a console again.
"I'm in there for like a split second so you have to watch really closely."
Dodger, I always watch you really closely
Hey dodger, i remember getting into this channel a long time ago. At the first, it was the name that catched my atention(for some reason. Maybe because you'r a girl to :D), but after a while i really started to like the whole channel thing ! :)

congrats on the trailer Dodger :) wtg
I really can't wait until the OUYA comes out!
I ended my subscription to City of Heroes some time ago, but I feel sad about the end of a game that brought me thousands of hours of fun, and introduced me to friends from around the world. Challenge Completed. I have finally watched every PressHeartToContinue video it took a while but I have done it.
so happy, so hyper ahha - great morning news show for today! haha
Hmmm, I quite enjoyed the bonus video Dodger.
"The music is louder, sorry!" followed by Dodger sounding even louder...
getting the Vita for Persona 4 Golden, so I hope there will be more games to make it a worthwhile investment
That was even less than a split second.
Happy Birthday.
OMG Dodger is in the Guild? that is so cool!
It's always there, but as said in the beginning in the video, it's louder than normal. So you probably just never noticed before :)
Kinda sad City of Heroes is ending. It was my first MMO and i've always gone back to it from time to time. Gunna miss it.
People were excited for Mass Effect, so it was going to sell a ton whatever shape it was in.
Nobody was excited for NBA Live so it wasn't going to sell unless it was very good.
Aw man, City of heroes was my first MMO ever.
Can't wait for the ouya :)
5:07 "If you wanna cough with me" Sounds right.
Well, whole series is about 7-8 hours long wouldn't take too long unlike marathoning primetime serieses, but they have recaps of all the previous seasons on GeekAndSundry.
Look directly at the official website - it's all right there, on the front page. Dodger got quite a bit of the City of Heroes news wrong.
Still kinda sad over CoH closing down,Great game system, character creator i could loose myself in for hours and most of all a stelar community, some of them became real life friends.

I have nothing left to live for now...
i remember when CITY OF HEROES came out, the fact i never got to play......this makes me sad
Developers are probably not interested in the Vita because the PSP's most successful games were more likely ported to the PS2 or PS3 rendering their existence on the PSP a moot point.
Is there new music in the background? Or have I just never noticed that Dodger put music on these episodes?
Dodger in The Guild, life is complete.
No, but I've been watching her ever since Dr. Evil's Sing Along Blog. You can tell when someone is genuine, and she's genuine.
Ouya looks good.
Are you buying one Dodger?
Watched the trailer for Season 6... had tho double take to notice you... blonde with glasses. :D
I like the background music, its the bees knees homie.
You're in the The Guild? sweeet
srry Dodger, your probably getting asked this a lot but when will the next part of the testament of sherlock holmes be up?
That is only partly true. You would be very wrong if you underestimated the anticipation and popularity of sports games amongst fans of the genre's .

You think the Ouya will be able to compete with the Wii U next gen?
Liked this it was very informative
City of heroes looked cool but I never got to play it, even though the idea of a MMO full of superheroes is a bit weird. At least it'll have a cool event before it goes down.
Liking the BGM
I kinda like the music that loud :D
cool the guild season awesome my co worker bf is also in it!! your awesome dodger!
I haz a Vita myself, and I agree that it is an amazing system, but, the issue is that theres only a dozen games for it. :/
Thankfully, though I've noticed that a few games are getting ready to be released soon, and Little Big Planet, was released just a few days ago! :D for the Vita. :3
Somebody in the last COFFEH comments said it was Firestone Pale 31 idk if true, looks like it according to search images.
Point of double exp event for City of Heroes is so people that aren't maxed can get there so they are ready for this end game comment.
well...the ouya looks like its gonna be a great console for casual gamers. i cant see myself gettin it because those kind of games only entertain me for a half hour a day then i just switch back to hardcore games
Woo Hoo, you and Felicia are awesome !
DJ, what's the background music. I've been listening to that for over a year now but never asked, so what's it?
ouya is balling
dodger where is your source for the ouya news? i would like to read more into it. thank you in advance.
on a side note, your computer specs are beastly... i top you with a 680 but that's about it lol. random comment over
Oh god, here we go again.
This is the longest I've ever listened to a girl talk without wishing I was doing something else.
Have you heard of the game Cubeworld made by two developers, Wollay and his wife(I believe); If so what do you think of it? Is it your style of game? Would you buy it once it is out?
Y'know, I didn't mind the music being this audible. It would be perfect just a hair or two quieter.
the pinnacle of net neutrality
