I am a very happy and contented member of the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous and our literature says if anything else works Towards good sobriety God Bless it.. We as a group have no opinion as to things that works for others but only what is working for us one day at a time ...
Hey ya'all, Montana SOBER Project here. Looking good in the video and it is so awesome to see others doing the same thing we are up here. We still have 5 separate meetings going on here in Montana and more coming and we are wholly excited to see so many grab the victory over the devil when it comes to addiction and watch the restoration begin. You go guys and thanks for all you do.
They are apparently ok with being in the video. I am sure they talked about it and Signed some papers. I hope so . But its nice to actually see the people lol
The point that changed things for me was hmmm what would an oldtimer who talks about the solution say. Maybe listening to true friends who support life not using
I'm just noticing, that most of the people's power, comes from believing in God . This is what's happening in most A.A. meetings, But what if an atheist wanted to sober up ? Where would you start ? The power of God , also exist in most instructors. Prayer wouldn't be accepted by an atheist, & prayer is part of 12 steps, correct? So where do we start ?
Holy shit ! I just thought about something. Who would I be with lots of money ? I'd probably be a stumbling drunk like Author, & on more heavier drugs.
Why is the Meeting leader holding a paper with a Jesus Cross sign!!We all believe in one God...AA is about staying sover,Maintining ouer sobriety and helping others to stay sober*read the book plz).... I joined the AA group in NYC and i stayed sober ,clean for 5years ..im muslim ,sober and clean...stop adding ure personal believe....
If u learn about the original founders...i believe it was based on Christian principles..as Bill Wilson was first part of the Oxford Group which was a christian based group
I understand this may help some however, why sit around other “sobers” that are there by court orders or voluntarily?! So when they leave do they think. Hey I just met someone that can get “shit” or hey I feel better?! What is the percentage??? Curious!!
I know this was half a year ago, but I figured I'd chime in and explain a bit. Most people who attend a 12 step meeting are there because they want to solve their addiction problem, people who are court mandated rarely wind up in meetings like this. They usually have to see a group that has some form of credentials for treating court ordered individuals. Being around others struggling through the same thing helps a lot for many people because the others understand what they are going through. The most important aspect of any 12 step program is that the group is essentially a support network for one another. They encourage each other and use their experiences to help one another. Many times these groups are actually monitored or even lead by a licensed professional who specializes in addiction. Thats not the case here as far as I can tell, but still. People who don't want to solve their addiction don't last long in 12 step programs.
The only thing that turns me off with AA is how they evoke religion and use Jesus' name. I am not religious and I don't believe so please don't force that on me. That's why i dont want to go to one of these things. I don't understand why they can't leave religion out of it
This is not what AA is about at all…. It says in the steps to choose a god/higher power that “you” believe in. It can be Mother Nature for all that matters as long as it is something greater than yourself that you can rely on. And yes it is important clearly you can’t rely on yourself so you need something/someone that you can rely on and it can’t be another human. Anyways I digress but do some research 90% of meetings aren’t like this at all
The AA program is created by Alistair Crowley. The first three steps are a soul trap. The triangle in a circle is for conjuring demons. The AA symbols come from a cult called thelematic cult. Bill Wilson who wrote the big book is known for witchcraft using Ouija boards with his wife
I see absolutely no discipline in this meeting, everyone is talking at once. You're pushing "Jesus" instead of letting people have their own higher power. This meeting would want me to go have a drink.
To me it sounds like a script! How bout just be natural about it and let people talk about what they choose,, maybe talk about what their talents are or maybe where they see themselves in a year and how to get there
@@Irvinlopez-v9s Chairman runs meeting, only one speaker at a time, not affiliated with religion and definitely against Traditions to video and broadcast. Then stream on UA-cam! , where is anonymity??? Disgraceful

"jesses?" Are you serious?!! You've never...ever...like, ever...seen the name Jesus...anywhere? In 27 years of sobriety, you've never figured out how to spell the son of God's name? I refuse to believe it. You HAD to have been drunk when you wrote this.

AA GROUP'S (Not aa as a whole) has changed a lot since begin sober for 30 year's, one day at a time. Video taping meeting is a thing now?
Not good
So these are AA meetings ? I need those crazy journals .
In eagle pass no one goes to AA meeting so I came here... Only 3-4 people ... I wonder how AA meetings are
I'm looking to start an NA group in my small county. Where do I start?

Sick Phony Bible Bashers, Mentally insane after years of Drug abuse.

I just tried to have a drink.

walk in & out.
My mouth started watering.

I'd probably be a stumbling drunk like Author,

This is going to sound crazy ,
but sometimes being poor is good.
What do I want ?
I want more cigarettes,
& with bigger money,
I'd be buying cartons.
See ?
I smoke synthetic weed.
I breathe it like oxygen.
Without it ;
I can't breathe,
So I'd probably buy pounds of it.
