You are correct about not mixing the nutrients together before adding to water. I tried it and saw white clumps forming in the water which would not de-solve. I am using a similar ratio of nutrient at about 1000ppm plus some pH Down to around 6+. My rain gutter type of system is outside with potting soil in 7gal fiber bags. One of my tomato plants has 50+ tomatoes on it! Yellow squash & eggplant loves it too. Cute tiny cucumbers and cantaloupe are forming on a vertical cement mesh.
