The whole sequence in Haven is really creepy if you dig around, like you did. But if you don't snoop around so much can basically walk up peacefully to the building at the top of the hill (where you ended this episode) and talk to Revered Father Eirik. This whole Sacred Ashes quest gets crazy at a slightly later point once you find out more about the background of the town.

    - Wade's shop has some of the best armors you can get in the game, and you can even commission work on some armor sets once you find certain materials. I recommend when given the chance, opt for paying him the highest amounts of gold (10 for one job, and 20 for another) for sets that offer strong bonuses. Be careful though as after you pay a commission for work from Wade the second time, you will be barred from buying any other pieces of armor from Wade's shop (there are some unique armor pieces you might want to research to see if you want to opt saving money for or not)
    - the matter regarding barging into Sophie's room is actually part of another quest line that opens in Denerim if you invest at least 1 point in stealing on your character. If you do take the quest when it opens, you don't need to have max stealing talents yourself, but I do recommend having a rogue along (either Zevran or Leliana) with the stealing skill maxed and 1 skill point minimum invested in Cloaking (Also you don't meet Sophie ever in the game)

Denerim is overpopulated with squirrels. You don't see them but they see you and possibly tell themselves: "Ooh, looks like we have an easy target right there!" :D
    >2:40
"Val Royeaux" is quite a curiosity for French speakers as you have here a singular coupled with a plural plus a misspelling. Normally it should be "Vaux Royaux" (plural) or "Val Royal" (singular) but not both. Never figured out why they decided to go for that. Possibly the same reason why Redcliffe is not Redcliff or Red Cliff.
    >4:15
As Leliana said previously: "Sometimes I miss Orlais dearly and sometimes I'm glad I'm rid of it". That would possibly be one of the reasons. Although not all "chevaliers" (she says they are "knights of the highest order" well, they are quite simply knights, it's a direct translation) are the same. Most have a sense of respect and some are just the kind of people who think that everything (and everyone) is owed to them. Orlais is far to be the only country with that particular problem (quite valid in our world too, not only in Dragon Age).
    >4:37
For the side quest in Redcliffe were you had to deliver lyrium potions to the templars, just in case you wanted to rat out the Mage Collective, this would have been the guy to go to.
    >6:00
If there is one reason to start the game as a Dwarf noble, it's this guy's buying rates. Take whatever Bodahn offers you at camp for any item and double it. Doesn't work for other origins though, so sadly won't do anything for you :D
    >10:12
That's an interesting idea! You should try it, next time you have to meet with him! :)
    >11:18
Very well informed for just a merchant...
    >16:20
Look instead for the "Grease the Wheels" side quest for the Blackstone Irregulars.
    >19:08
It does seem as fishy as The Scrolls of Banastor, doesn't it?
    >20:40
You'll learn nothing more about that before Inquisition I'm afraid.
    >22:48
Be prepared for one of the most terrible French accents I've ever heard :D
    >26:36
Myself? I just kill her. Mostly because of the accent. :D But it's also the only way to make sure she's not a threat anymore.
When you think that those two were once lovers... tragic. it's kind of the reason why Leliana's waiting for your decision here. She cannot decide herself. Too much emotional baggage.
You can learn more about Leliana's story and Marjolaine betrayal by playing Leliana's Song, which is an official story DLC that you already have installed with your version of the game. You'd be playing as Leliana of course :)
    >30:11
Which, once again, is totally unfair! :D
    >30:45
And you're far from being finished with those two... haha
    >31:48
Easy way to remember is that the Chantry does not have fathers, only mothers. So if you see a Chantry guy, it's a brother.
    >36:35
So now, we also have rewind as well? haha
You certainly have a piece of the puzzle there, but it's a bit more complicated at the same time...
    See you in Haven! :D
    >39:15
Not Leliana, she doesn't. Considering her former "job" that would be quite hypocritical if she disapproved. She doesn't exactly approve either but she doesn't frown upon it.
Neither is Doggo... he never disapprove, the good boy that he is; never critical of his mistress :D
This particular room is linked to a string of mini side-quests you can only obtain if you have the stealth talent (you, as the player, need to be a rogue for that) or the stealing skill (again, as the player, but any class can have it). I thought you did have at least one rank in stealing but apparently you don't. If you had, a special NPC would have appeared in the Denerim market not far from the Chantry (one more squirrel if you need it haha).
But you got Sophie's guard to react. Which makes me wonder what I've been doing (or not doing) in more than a dozen playthroughs to not have her on my back even a single time. Puzzled...
    >39:50
She's just a name for the quest. You'd have gained a bit more info about her (but not that much) from the NPC I mentioned earlier if you had access to him. I won't say more because you can still potentially have access to him in the future.
    >41:33
Doesn't feel good, right? Well I'm laughing now but I wasn't laughing the first time either haha
Wow, wait... that was *all* of your health potions? That's not a loss, that's a disaster of almost Titanic proportions! No wonder you're upset. I would be too! :D
    >Distillation Agent
Bodahn at camp has an infinite supply of this (and all other special crafting reagents), so he's your easily accessible provider, however, he's not the cheapest so if you can buy from elsewhere (like the tavern you're in) do it. The distillation agent is not very expensive and you can grab more Elfroot from the Elves in the Brecilian forest. All in all what you gained in money giving those potions should cover the costs of replenishing your inventory and maybe some more so chin up. Not all is lost! :)
    More below...

      >42:25
Well, that's a fine imagery. Between the potions and this guy... This is just one of these days, huh? :D Plus what he suggests doing with your skull just by removing your eyeballs first would require some very fine motor skills that I'm pretty sure he doesn't have at the moment, plastered as he is lol
      >42:50
So here's the deal with rogues. The whole lockpicking ability depends on the cunning score of your rogue, not the Deft Hands (lockpicking) talent (weird as it may seem). Each rank in Deft Hands gives you the equivalent of 10 cunning points for the purpose of lockpicking (and disarming) only, but that's all it does. So here, if memory serves, leliana is rank 4 (40 cunning) and has a cunning attribute at 22. The best locks in the game requires 60 cunning.
Here you'd say, and that would be totally fair: "But she has 62 total so why doesn't that work?". Because the game removes 10 points in the calculation considering that all the classes start with a cunning at 10 anyway and those first 10 points are not rogue specific. So a rogue's cunning score (for lockpicking) is actually the total cunning value of the rogue minus 10. In short Leliana is missing 8 cunning points to be able to open absolutely everything. She needs her cunning attribute at 30 (+ 40 from Deft Hands = 70 - 10 = 60).
On a positive note there's not that many level 60 chests out there. But the more you progress in the story the more likely you'll be to hit some and knowing you, that will be greatly upsetting if you can't open them :)
      >44:25
Yep, that would be the ones. And you didn't even know they were worth something beyond the lol factor :D So how about reading them to us now? Because those are not random notes anymore. Those just became a legit side quest (hey, you clicked the button, not me) XD
      >45:03
      It's certainly not a Chanter's board, that's for sure :D
      >50:28
Considering what the Grey Wardens are sometimes willing to do to achieve their goals (I mean, blood magic among other things), this seems like a normal day at work. :)
      >50:46
Because if you don't find where to dump the bodies, you'll just be lugging dead people around in your backpack until the end of the game? I'd want to get rid of them as fast as possible too. Still, you do have a pretty big backpack... It's a wonder you cannot stuff more in there.
      >52:11
At least it's not how wells are supposed to work but who knows, this one could be magical! XD
      >53:25
Know any former member of the Crows willing to support you here? :)
      >54:08
Either this guy is blind or he is completely stupid and borderline suicidal. He's blurting out "knife-ears" in front of an Elf? Really? A Grey Warden armed Elf? So much for manners and basic survival instinct.
      >1:02:39
If only it was just the child being creepy. :D
      >1:05:50
I think it's a common trait with dogs. Tasting first, worrying about it only if it doesn't taste good, and then, not always :)
      >1:07:52
Such a boss! And there I was thinking doggo just wanted to play the game too. :D
      >1:10:29
When you don't have Wynne in the party the first attack by the villagers occurs later after you discover some real evidence of wrongdoing. She's that special :) So yeah, depending on Wynne being present or not, the quest may be altered slightly. More "being prepared for an attack" in one case.
      >1:17:00
Good idea especially because the rest of the quest (as you probably know by now) might be as long as this video. And also because I really need to sleep :)
Hope you weren't stomped on by a flying barn on your way to the truth about Haven :D

Actually didn't seem very odd to me! I think I'd suspect either taverns or merchants to be the best sources in town ha.
      > one of the most terrible French accents I've ever heard :D
Ha! I can see that :D the way she says Leli'ya'na was very grating too

      >Actually didn't seem very odd to me!
Maybe I was just being very paranoid the first time I played the game? That was my reaction to his goodbye to me anyway. :D
      >Leli'ya'na
Don't you hate it when people butcher your name? :)
Also I was tired yesterday so I forgot to mention something about lockpicking and cunning. You don't necessarily need to put more points in cunning through leveling up. Equipping enough "+ to all attributes" or "+ to Cunning" items on Leliana to reach 30 would do the trick too. Maybe easier said than done though. I know there's enough such items in the game to make up for the eight missing points but you still have to find them first. Some might even be hidden in a Level 60 locked chest, which would be bad. :D

The story of what sparked the shut down of Denerim's elven alienage is touched on in the City Elf origin story, while some more info on Arl Howe can be gained by playing the Human Noble origin. Well worth playing through the other origin "prologues" at some point. From memory, each one takes about an hour or so. (Probably best left until you've completed the main story, though.)

Hey Liera, hope ur having a great day.
Good choice with Marjolaine. I've played out both scenarios and the fight with her was incredibly hard, at least for me.
Ironically on my first playthrough I choose the same dialogue options u did with Weylon. On my 2nd playthrough I went to lake Calenhad to see what would've happened.
If u'd like to look it up, though I would recommend waiting til near the end of the game, there is a video u can find of ur companions delivering the sad news of the deaths of the Irregulars. Not gonna lie some of their deliveries are hilarious.

That Video Game in my country is prohibited due to explicit sexual scenes, nudity and sex. Even in an important news outlet in my country the video game is highly criticized. Also be careful with those explicit sexual scenes because UA-cam is prohibited and they can demonetize you and even censoring the video 😨
What do you think about the fact that in some countries they are prohibiting sexual scenes Liera?

To my knowledge only two countries have banned Dragon Age Origins for the reasons quoted by the commenter above. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. But if there's another one I'm missing I'd be curious to know too.
