Even though I personally haven’t been a fan of some of his newer designs, I appreciate Adidas letting Ye and his Yeezy team go wild on designs. You never know when he’ll drop a gem and change the course of fashion. He’s done it with his Yeezy Season clothing, the 350s, Pablo merch, Waverunners, and now his Foam Runners and Slides.
You must be under a rock he’s been changed the game of shoes. Thanks to Adidas and Ye A lot of fashion houses take inspiration into the future I am his design and team.If it wasn’t for them you were still be rock in 1990s Shoe’s And if you’re smart you know which ones I’m talking about..🤣

Anyone remember Moon Boots in the early 2000s? Eeeveryone was rocking those. This trend isnt super new but we can see where kanye is drawing inspiration and revival fashion from.
As a high schooler in 2000 I can confirm NO ONE I KNEW WAS WEARING THOSE! Maybe it was a regional thing but that region was not the northeast lol

If the upper was just “normal” sized/shaped and sleeker I think these could be pretty nice. I really like the bio-mechanical syntho-organic design and feel. It’s headed in a good direction conceptually, just too over the top for me personally. All of the above drawbacks (imo) are obviously intentional but if YZY just dialed it back a little bit I’d be down to cop something along these lines. The 700 v3 for example is almost perfectly executed and should be the template moving forward, especially the Azael with their bone-like aesthetic. The 450’s are decent too but could be so much better if made more substantial for lack of a better term. Great review man.
100% agree with you, if the upper was more sleek like a ugg you wouldn’t have to tuck in all your pants. That’s what gets me, I’m not going to buy a pair boots that limits my outfits due to that wide upper.

These boots are low key fire. Sizing is running snug but not as horrible as Seth described. You can definitely wear them true to size. Trick is to push your feet backwards a bit there are plenty of room

Futuristic design insanity aside: if there's any sort of functional intention - think of how you'd walk in a foot of snow... you stomp more than stride from heel thru ball of foot. i actually hit on these on adidas and had not been that excited for a new silhouette in a long time. unfortunately as a wide footer, the mid foot "cage" felt super constricting. not something I think I can wear all day, but still love the aesthetic and vibe.

I was really interested in this boot and actually love the look of it, but as a Canadian I had a LOT of questions I couldn't find answers too. Mostly, this seemed like a "winter boot" designed by someone who doesn't really know what winter is, and so I had a lot of questions about warmth, durability, water proofing, will it work in icy road/sidewalks, etc. the construction alone had me wondering if there was a possibility of snow or even rain to get in between the "foam runner" portion and the blanketed body? Would that snow then instantly melt and soak into the bottom, or is it waterproofed? If not, then this "nsltd bt" is pretty much useless for anyone used to Canadian (or even northern states) winters, which would be when an insulated boot is most welcome. I suspect the same unknowns will be in place for the upcoming knit boot as well.
I'm Canadian as well, so I feel you, I'm starting to think this is a 'winter' boot for people in California or Miami.

Those being the Foam Runner (basically hypebeast crocs) and now the Insulated Boot (basically hypebeast UGG's).

The 1050s are pretty good but not worth 400
I have 2 well justified concerns about those:
1.-
Zipper instead of the traditional lacing system as I have a very pronounced dorsal.
2. -
Price tag.
Not even snow boots are that expensive, and there's plenty of technology going on with those, and it ain't designer. So there's no way to justify it.

exactly, he even talked about it on drink champs, people hate new designs and new innovations, but would go crazy over some jordan sneakers that re-released from 12 years ago with a different colourway, but really i dont take much into people opinions, because people prefer hype and brand over aesthetic and artistic choice, they want a hype brand to give the security that they are cool, me ill rather wear something thats different.

I went TTS (I'm a 9.5, so I got a 10, you could call it TTS+ I guess), and they're not that bad in terms of sizing. I had on a thin sock, so my feet kept sliding to the front of the shoe, but the fact that my feet could slide in them at all means that there was adequate space. Getting your foot in them however, is not the best experience. That being said, I freaking LOVE them!
I'm a 9.5 in most adidas and Nike shoes. Do you think a size 10 would go well in these?
@@paulsondermann8302 yeah, I’m a 9.5 in Stan Smiths and most other Adidas shoes, size 10 in Yeezy and Nikes (they’re cut a bit smaller for my foot). Size 10 was perfect for me, and even had a bit of room. Also, if you wear the Velcro down, there’s less tension on the toe box which I feel is a bit more comfortable. Half sizers can just go half a size up, not too sure about full sizers but my coworker went a full size up (9🦶>10 🥾)
All my yeezys are a 10 even my foam runners and slides. A 10 would be valid?
