hi how many kilometers does Yamaha have such a worn camshaft? that's weird almost 1mm of play.

Hi, the camshaft I removed wasn't worn, it was a malossi competition high lift cam. The new one I fitted was a standard profile to match the 125 cylinder.

Hi, do you have any idea if you can run any competition cams with stock 125? Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the question, I'm pretty sure if you fit a competition cam to a stock 125 the valves would clash with the piston crown. Just had a quick look at the old 180 piston it has a deep recess on the piston crown.

@@TheWeeBaldyBiker I was thinking this may happen especially since I was thinking of a high compression piston. Thanks for the reply and effort. Take care.

hi, did you enlarge the retort at the valves for cylinders 150/180 in the dependency retort, which was installed there, I have cylinder 150 and after the evil it knocked as if esters on the heads, retorts themselves.

Everything I fitted was standard 125, no modifications, not sure about the 180 kit I removed.
