People always say Reasonable Doubt is Jay-Z’s best album. But personally, The Blueprint is his Magnum Opus. Everything about it is HOV in his prime and top-form. Elite Production, 5 years in the game and his 6th album so better with experience, sharper pen. Takeover came out a few months before Ether. When Takeover dropped, at the time, people were saying Nas was finished because he weren’t released great music at the time and the Jay-Z diss kinda put him in a hole. However, Ether and Stillmatic released months later was the comeback and resurrected Nas’ career and respect levels across the Hip-Hop community.

it echoes my relationship with my father.
My dad was a local DJ in his teens he sired me at age 17. I grew up listening to his album collection and before I turned 14, I started my CD collection.
I went to the mall it was Winter 2001;
I bought 3 albums that day and jumped into my own Hip-Hop Journey.
Tyrese - 2000 Watts
Jay-Z - The Blueprint
Dungeon Family - Even In Darkness
I've been listening to The Blueprint for 21 years come this winter. Thanks for adding a new layer to this classic for me.
444 or American gangster next please
Much respect sir
Finally someone reacting to Jay Z, huge respect ❤💪🏾
There’s debate on if Jay Z is the Greatest of all time, but he definitely was the most smartest and threatening to the music industry. His philosophy is great and I actually look up to him because of this. Can y’all listen to the Magna Carta album maybe? It’s my favorite Jay Z album. All love ❤️
Out of all Jay's albums how is that possible 🤔
The renegade beat is made for Eminem lol. Put Eminem on izzo and compare it☠️
Ether definitely came out second man.
Watch American Gangster & then listen to the album, could be a dope 2 part video
Jay zs while discography could be a series on its own, s ome of the most impactful on the dynasty, also scarface the fix was a 10 out of 10 album and features jay z , and Nas at the time of the beef and has production by k.west
you gotta react to jay z's american gangster, its his last classic album.
Pops will definitely love all the samples on that album too
Nas dropped a track called Paid in full freestyle in response to Jay-Z, then he dropped Ether. If you can do a reaction to Nas Paid in full freestyle, Ether, and The Stillmatic Album.
Linkin park x Jay z album for a quick good album, see if your dad likes it rocked up a bit
52:00 one of my favourite beats on the album
If you do ether you should do super ugly lol takeover jay didn’t even fully go at nas
To make it worse, Supa Ugly was a freestyle and Jay dropped it 24 hours after Nas dropped Ether. Literally the next day. Jay don’t play no games 😂
I knew pops was gonna like the girls, girls, girls remix. This joint was one of Jay’s best songs ever
Still waiting on pops to hear that DMX🔥
Black Republican and Success were both great songs Jay-z and Nas collabed on
If you can try and give pops the sample tracks used by the bigger producers (like Ye) so as to bridge the music being flipped forward
At first glance Em does kill it on Renegade. But people are just skimming through what Jay said.
Tied with MBDTF as my favorite hip hop album ever. When an album has a hidden track (Lyrical Exercise) better than 90% of the songs on any other album, you know it's a classic
I’m always interested in everyone’s fav album mines is me against the world
@@mizzyfit_334 blackbolshevik or sometimes i might be introvert
I haven't listened to this whole video yet but this album has 2 hidden tracks.
After _Lyrical Exercise,_ its the _Girls, Girls, Girls (Remix)_ which was always a banger and an ironic way to end the album; the closing line of the album is a sample talking about not settling down until he found the right girl for him.
Whats ironic about that is at this point Jay-Z had just started being publicly associated with Beyonce as Destiny's Child had just made an appearance in the "Izzo" video.
Not even my favourite Jay album personally as I prefer reasonable doubt and the black album over it, but a classic for sure
@@slowflowsen498 Yeah both are hidden, and I love Girls Girls Girls part 2 but I have always always liked Lyrical Exercise more so that’s why I only mentioned that one. But that said, GGG 2 is also better than a lot of album cuts. Ye killed the beat too
Dad will LOVE:
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Great album, definetly need to do Reasonable Doubt, his best imo :)
Exposed him to the 🐐 !
Jay z. & Nas have 5 songs together. Black Republican, Success, I Do it for Hip-Hop, Sorry Not Sorry and Bath Salts. There's no real chemistry musically between them. Not like Jay had with Biggie and Beans or Nas had with Prodigy or AZ. Takeover was first, then Ether. After Jay Z responded with Super Ugly but soon after he apologized to Nas at the behest of his mother because she felt he was going too far and getting too personal. Kanye recently stated he felt Just Blaze was biting his soulful style on this album. Which is ironic because Kanye took J. Dilla's soulful style.
Your forgetting BBC on magna Carter holy grail
Shaq feat Lord Tariq, Nas and Jay-Z
Also, Ether was in response to Takeover (after Takeover)
You could do Aquemini by outkast
I'm on track 2. And I know I've said it before but pops reactions always makes the videos for me. When he loves something I loved, seeing him acknowledge it... it's like seeing the "old head" we respected be like "ah yea, this is good" to shit I grew up loving. Love this channel, and hope yall doing well! Keep it coming, we here for it.
