Thank you! What a bunch of great info for a novice like me, great run down. I have the Mackie 10, working thru a noise issue when plugging a guitar into channel 1 and playing out thru the Control Rm. outs. Periodic electrical popping sounds coming thru the speakers when playing.
Trying different things like turn down the gain, up the level knob. Or, use the actual Main outs instead of Control Rm. One thing I don't understand is how there is one USB socket on the Mackie, but there are 4 USB interfaces, or channels, or whatever the descriptor is. When I hear of 4 USB, I think of 4 separate USB sockets.
Great demo!! I just bought one second-hand and love it!
thanks for explaining. How do you use the first 2 channel compressors as stereo?
Excellent review. Is it possible to do a multi-track recording into a DAW with it?
I just started using the is for Stereo Summing in and out, from my DAW back in, in real time with Pipeline XT in Studio one, if your Stereo Summing in and out from DAW with from an analog Rack like me, this is the best idea for home studio, its got WARM Lounge and Distortion Setting, so...you can make slow to mid songs sound slightly fuller on analog loop or more saturated on punchier faster songs....this this is a secret weapon in a small home studio...if.....you use it right!!!
My mixer 🤩 I hate the pre amp is just that, takes a second to amp up and even longer to amp out, my only issue 🙄
Can I convert my 3.5 headphone plug into the phones part if I use an adapter 1/4???
How do I connect a monitor to these system. Where it will have its own sound. Where I can control it from the mixer.
First of all, please forgive my lack of knowledge in the matter of mixing boards. So my question is. Can I connect a home stereo receiver to this to improve the sound quality out of my speakers. Or connect the TV speakers to it also. That way I have control of what I want to listen to and at what level of sound. Or is there a better unit to do it with around the same price. I am running my laptop through my reciever so i can view videos and have good sound qualty. I just want to improve sound quality.
What about the FX send input???
How do I go out my computer daw, into my mixer, into a single mono speaker. I cannot figure out my setup… thanks in advance
Set channel 9/10 to usb channel 3/4 by pushing the button just below the 3.5mm jack
Thank you again !
I bought a single column array speaker ;
If both xlr outputs are left and right, how do I make it work if I only have one speaker ?
Just use either the left or right XLR output from the mixer. Have the pan knobs for each channel all the same, either straight up or all panned to the same output side you are using.
What is the dynamic range of mixer pro fx v3? Not written anywhere!
Hey Robin! Do you sell Behringer? Looking for an X32 or something comparable...with road case
They apparently don't respond to any questions on any of these vids
Hi there , i just bought PROFX10 V3 now can you give me a tips how to connect from PIONEER DDJ 1000 TO AMPLIFIER and to the mixer
Just straight to the mixer no amp needed bro
Very useful and well made video, thank you!!! If you dont mind a simple question: Whats the difference between the two 1/4th inputs on channel 3 & channel 4, versus the 1/4th puts on channel 7/8 and 5/6? Why do we have one seperated out as in 5/6 and one not as in channel 3? Do they take the same input plug types?
Channels 1, 2, 3, 4 are all mono. 5/6 and 7/8 are stereo. So, it’s kinda misleading, in a way - it’s a “10 input” mixer, but the stereo channels count for two inputs each. All of the jacks would take a T/S 1/4” plug.
@@andystandys Many thanks for your help.
@@Goavagatore No problem.
Hi i been watching your video about this mixer lots of time , i just bought 1 Profx 10 v3 its add-on to my dj gear my question is what channel should i connect my Pioneer DDJ 1000 ? i never had this type of mixer in my live ..
Hook your Pioneer up with your XLR out of the DJ controller, to a 1/4 in male to the Mackie FX channels 7/8/ Use the EQ sparingly on the Mixer and use your volume settings on the controller to control your volume.
Thank you very much,on my amplifier the connection is TRS I would like to know on which channel on the Mackie should I use?
Anyone know why they put the compressors, and HI Z on the same channels? If they moved compressors to channel 3/4, then you can plug in 2 guitars in 1/2 with HIZ, and 2 mics with compression. You would never compress the guitar. Is this correct or am I missing something?
Your question makes sense to me! You never got an answer!! I'm also curious?? Btw I did find this on google-Compression can enhance the electric guitar in a mix by adding sustain and consistency to its sound, allowing sustained notes to ring out while controlling peaks. It helps maintain a stable and present guitar tone, ensuring it cuts through the mix without overpowering other instruments.Dec 11, 2023. Would it be any different than using a compression pedal on your guitar?? Trying to learn. lol
Is it possible to use both the 1/4” (trs) and the and the XLR at the same time? I’d like to route one to my 2pre interface, and the other to my studio monitors.
should not be a problem, just make sure the TRS is balanced like the XLR.
@@expertisland WHICH MEAN, TRS......
Hi i bought this mixer.. please Facebook Live singing settings
Friend, help please? I need to plug my mackie profx10v3 into another mixer in the pubs where I play. How do I do that? Can you explain, please? I use my mackie on a thump 12 for return and I would play it on the pub stereo.
I have a video called how to connect two mixers together. XLR Main out of the 10v3 to line in on the second mixer most likely 1/4 in cable. ( Cable needed XLR Female to 1/4 Male )
So you could connect 4 mics to this device? 2 XLR and 2 jacks?
There are 4 xlr inputs so 4 mics will work :)
Hi, i wanted to ask. Is every channel going in to the usb interface or only 1 & 2 only?
All channels go to the interface 2 channel record (L/R)
@@expertisland Thank you for the confirmation!
Not many info on the interface side... how many channels go out to the daw? Bitrate? Thanks
I have a second video more about the interface maybe it will help ua-cam.com/video/fjxRps102QU/v-deo.html
Hallo Robin , I like to use 2 keyboard 🎹 with one studiomonit , I was wondering if need to use mixer or can I use Scarlett 2i2 , please let me know, thank you .
You can us the Scarlett 2i2 but with 2 keyboard you would only have a mono sound from each keyboard, the mixer will give you more option with sound over all.
@@expertisland thank you very much , clear answer sir . Very helpful!!
Can you set a different effect for each channel?
Can you blend multiple effects for each channel?
NO. !!!
I wanna listen to a backing track on pro tools while recording audio but it wants to put the drum track inside of my audio track
I don't use pro-tools every day I us audacity But I found a mute next to the track so it does not play back on my back track, it has to be kind of the same on pro-tools. I'm more of a hardware guy then software.
can you run subs on their own "aux" output or another way?
Yes you can ( note FX Send = AUX but no EQ to sub ) and no FX on mixer
Does this have the feedback reducer? also would you know if the Yamaha MG10 10-Channel Mixer has a feedback reducer?
NO
I'm not an experienced audio person. I just tried what he did plugging the same cables into the mixer, and into a speaker for phones out. I cannot get any mic audio from this device. It's brand new.

No problem w/the interface and (low) levels?? One complaint I've seen about this mixer is how it acts with Windows 10 as a USB interface.
Whats the issue with Windows? Thanks
@@maccagrabme People complaining about recording levels via USB being too low. I can't get any actual owners/users to shoot that down.
I have just purchased this mixer. Does anyone know why my audio input also plays through my mic channel (channel 1)
Are you trying to record?
@@expertisland no, for live performing!
@@expertisland no, for live performing!
My audio is in 5/6
Anyone use this with evolve 50?
Can you add multiple effects to the same channel???
NO
This has Phantom power for microphone ?
Yes.
How many inputs will it show in my DAW. ?
2 channels (pan to the left for one) - (Pan to the Right for Two) Thanks for Watching
How much
i cant get my proFX 10v3 xlr main outs to send audio to my speakers somebody help please
I have the same problem
Active speakers?
@@TheSenoarend I use active speakers and I have the same problem, what's wrong?
I have this Mackie profx10v3 and two big problem in it's effect engine 💀😓
(1) There's no parameter knob on this audio mixer so You Really Can't Control how much delay it apply on Your Microphone and instrument 🎸💀
You can only control the volume level of any effect 😏
(2) i Really Don't know why but this mixers Effect know also Control Volume Level of Each Channels.💀😌
So it means When You Decrease the Efforts knob It automatically Decrease the Volume of that Channel 👽🙄🤦
And if you off the effect engine it automatically cut 50% of Volume on Every Channel 😢
Pan and tilt? WTF is TILT? Are you referring to a camera tripod head?
Tilt = if you push the mixer too hard, the unit shuts off = game over !!! (like Pinball) 😂🎉😊
@@willdorak985 put in another quarter😁
I think you mean 192khz
11:56 Haha...The FX main was off
Ahhhh! The best way to destroy a ribbon microphone is to apply phantom power to it. There are very few active ribbon mics (only one that I know of) and people who can afford them are not buying this mixer or watching this video.
Yes, he definitely misspoke there @6:44
The free Pro Tools software does not work and is a waste of time, I was very disappointed.
Mackie needs to stop promoting Pro Tools as a package deal!!!
