Also on the same recipet. Im a painter and we have to buy clothes at times when we are on the road or cause the shirts or shoes or pants got messed up bad yes shoes some products if it gets on clothes will get so hard and sometimes we cant ecen walk in the shoes or a accident happen and got a major spill and goes over the shoes . And some gas stations sell all that stuff . Like corner store gas stations . Will everything go into its own slot? I separated with my girl and her daughter use to do all my reciepts and add everything up for me at the end if the year . Well now im stuck amd i also buy and resale stuff but i dont have a cash register for a reciept but i always write what i have sold for the day amd also have a book for all the stuff i buy to sell. Can them type a reciepts work also for this ? Or is that something i have to sit down and type in .
What happens if you have a reciept that could have clothes or gas or say groceries amd say oil
I am a brand-new, one-month-old LLC. I don't do QuickBooks I don't do spreadsheets. This is simple and quick. I'm signing up for it! Thank you for telling us about it.
YeeHaw! That's me every year! I have a folder for each month. EVERY receipt for that month goes into the folder. I take each folder month by month...spread the receipts on the floor and separate them into the categories, food, gas, tolls, hotels, etc... Then I add each category and put them into a notebook. I take those numbers to the accountant! We're looking into buying a portable receipt scanner!

So I have a question wave has a receipt function does the same thing for 8usd per month receipt bank now called dext is 24usd per month that’s crazy expensive or is there another pricing tier for receipts only

Hi Mike, I have a custom cake shop. The majority of my receipts will have items that would fall into different categories (i.e. grocery, office supplies, tools) all in one receipt. Would this program allow me to break down each item on that receipt into its separate category? Thank you for all your informative information.

These are called Line Items. Were you able to find a software that does that? I am considering building something like this specially for restaurants that also helps track/estimate inventory based on sales. Would this be something useful for you?

Cool, but my receipts ( materials etc) go on different jobs. I would struggling at the end of the year to know which jobs they would relate too.
You can separate them into different categories (or jobs).

Think you !hope that I will beable to keep your app. My someone can so best way to save infromation pages. Because the one I subscribe to some time dispare whe I go back for them. Iam a person who they there best with very that I get in to my hands to live of. Need bogey income then what I get to come out of the problem I have.

This looks simple. I have a question about the receipts. What if you buy from the same store will it separate if I bought food and equipment with cash and then food with debit and so on will it do it that way. Sorry for lengthy explanation going into question.
Not that I know of... it may... but I haven't tried to do that.

What if your receipts have multiple categories within one receipt. How do you categorized such?

A lot of my receipts are in Japan I wonder if it can process receipts in Japanese. Also in Japan they still want paper receipts and kept for seven years

Great info. It appears that Receipt Bank was bought out by a different company and total changed its biz model. Do you have another recommendation for receipt storage?
I'm also looking at options. LMK if you've discovered other options! I worry about companies getting bought out or going out of business after I've put all my records there!!!???

Aimee, I'm now using Wave Accounting. It's a more robust platform that does a lot more than just receipts.

Yes... I believe so.
what about receipts like grocery or receipt with multiple items, can it extract all those different datas on the receipt? if not, then there is nothing special of this app

Hi great video, this is what I'm after but need a free version as I am only self employed so don't have bags and bags of receipts could you recomend something that will work in the uk thanks.

You still need to go in and double check it. I will occassionally see an error, but not very often.
When taking a photo of the receipt does it also fill in the tax amount?

It looks good just a bit complex, I have been using another tool - InvoiceBerry that is much simpler to add your expense to your account and it provides you detail report for all of your expenses at once place.

Problem- walmart receipt. Some non deductible food, some deductible office supplies, some oil for person car, some oil for business car. What then? Even if business only is seperated, will be some office supplies and some repairs and maintenance

QUESTION!! I was watching closely, when you take a picture of a receipt, does it differentiate between the tax (hst Ontario Canada) and the net amount? Audits are often a pain in the a$$ for details like this

How do this handle receipts that fit into more than one category like a receipt from Walmart that has several categories, clothing, food, auto maintenance, etc!?

Do those receipt pictures get stored in your phone memory (or card) or are they automatically deleted? Even with regular pictures that I supposedly deleted I keep seeing them again.

Yes. It's with their app Quickbooks self-employed but it costs like 7-10 dollars per month.

I usually just put them in a box/file folder and hold on to them as well. You can never be too safe.
@@MikeMancini I just think we can't trust that digital stuff to last very long. I bought 100 year blueray or DVD to store vital stuff on. Assuming there'll be a drive left when the planet is deluged by Greta-tears.

There are some prepopulated and you can add categories yourself
