There were some interesting bits, like the DNA Jesus thing and Sweeney’s acting was good, but oh was it boring. A movie can be a lot of things but the ultimate sin is being boring and my mind wandered off to the list of chores I have to do tomorrow cause it was just not compelling enough to keep my attention. I did make it through to the end where she was just screaming her head off, so at least that part was memorable.
I watched this in the cinema and had a fantastic time, although I must admit I have a soft spot for religious horror. I read it more as a realistic horror rather than supernatural so for me the horror elements were well placed.

I didn't dislike this movie, but I expected so much more. It really felt like it was lacking of substance, and, while winks and references are pleasant, the obvious horror tropes (including the boring jump scares) and the numerous scenes that seemed to be directly taken from other movies (Salo, Midsommar) were too much. I also wish we spent more time developing the characters; I think it'd have helped, at least to spend more time discovering life in the covent. Because as it was, though ok, it was definitely underwhelming.

Yes, I found myself bored a few times while watching. Interesting concept, and great visuals- just wish the story was better.

Yes, 2024 has been a disappointing year for horror so far. Late Night With The Devil is a great film and playing the select theaters now!
