@renaissanceman165 Nah theres no way you compared this to the comics designs 💀 in the comics even the flash whos just supposed to be a normal guy who just so happened to access the speed force, even he looked like a fuckin ancient greek god lmao😂

Only thing to break my fall was a huge thorn bush. The sap nearly paralyzed me. Probably lucky the poison didn’t stop my heart. Ah well, kid being a kid. I did worse.
Well, why bother when Superman is obviously not even breaking a sweat. Ironically, today it would be Superman watching Batman drop half a dozen bad guys and only step in if Batman needed help. The way these shows was written back then was so corny! Every fight was the same.

Why did Superman always land like a hundred feet away from where he was headed, just to have to run the rest of the way? Wouldn't it be more prudent to land exactly where he would want to be?
Actually, Superman didn’t fly in the early days of the comics. Early Superman merely jumped long distances and it wasn’t until much later that they retconned him into a flier.
Superman walking into the Bat cave was awesome . Then Batman standing there while Superman cleans up the house was just LOL!!. There were two Batman movies, "Batman" 1943, and " Batman and Robin" in 1949. Made by Columbia pictures.
For everyone asking about the flying, did you know that for a while, they animated his flights? That was fun to watch, but I guess that was also too expensive, hence the new workarounds.
For an early-mid 1950s TV show, the special effects were very good. George Reeves was very athletic for a guy around 40 (in those days, before modern training methods). His take-offs and especially landings look very believable, especially once they git rid of the 'wire take-offs' of the first season.
It's to bad they never got these two together for a special episode. Lewis G. Wilson as Batman with George Reeves as Superman would have been great. Who knows, maybe Wilson would have got another crack at a regular gig as Batman. Or was this Robert Lowery as Batman, I can't remember.
This better Bat Man was the 1943 movie serials, not the 1949 one. This complete & the 1949 versions was included in a special 3 DVD set for The Dark Knight release
Hey George Reeves played Superman in black and white and color and Adam West only played Batman in color and this is Robert Lowery playing Batman in black and white.
The stately mansion that was "Tara" in Gone With The Wind was about a block away from this street. The prison camp of Hogan's Heroes was also within walking distance from this street. All were elaborate set pieces located in a very small area just off a California interstate.
My kindergarten teacher had a green sedan version of that white Chrysler convertible. When she would start it, the starter sounded like the battery was very low, but it would turn the engine over and eventually start it, causing the fan belt to emit a very loud squealing sound.
I believe the reason he always Dodge the gun being thrown at him it was inside joke. It's kind of funny how sloppy Batman was back then but then again that was a different time.

Why was Batman in the Old West? Just how far did Superman have to fly to find out about those gunshots? I'm glad I'm alive in the modern age of superhero movies and TV shows!
As a kid of the sixties, the Batman episodes which the Green Hornet appeared were like getting an extra prize in the cereal box
I love how those superhero outfits in the 1950s looked like something I would wear to a costume party in my kindergarten in the early 2000s 😆
George Reeves' Superman suit was made of wool. He hated it.
It’s one reason why they did look like that.
Easy for kids to wear, recreate.
I much more love that those actor's were normal strong men and not steroid guys like nowadays...
They actually look the way one would expect them to, like in the comic books, though, maybe, not as sophisticated. Check it Out! Ciao!!!

The fact that The Flash paid tribute to this Superman
Lovely tribute sadly in a terrible movie
I love superman's face when he's flying. Like it's no big deal.
that same face when he's getting shot at too......
because it's no big deal, for man of steel.

That was fun.

If those old radio episodes are still stored somewhere, they could be read out to an A.I which would make a movie from the descriptions.
Batman was featured in several episodes to give Bud Collyer, the voice of Superman, some time off.

Christopher Reeve and Tim Daly. (Reeve had an uncanny resemblance to Drew Bledsoe.)

Wao!!! Batman was Johnny Weissmüller.
The actor playing Batman, Robert Lowery, years later guest starred with George Reeves in “The Deadly Rock”.
Larry Miller, also, at 26, Lowery is the youngest actor to play Batman.
My mistake: it’s Lewis Wilson, the first Batman, who is the youngest.

Batman was so low budget he had no utility belt and just had to wear a big shiny sash, like a tv wrestler.

Why does Batman look like Pokemon?
Because of the low budget.

That was some jump at height was Batman landed on those goons. Great stunt.
Hey that's pretty good. I had to laugh about Batman not doing a thing in that shack, other than look terrified. LOL
People sure crawled around on rocks a lot in the old days.
I suppose urban development cut down and removed a lot of trees and rocks since then.
There wasn't as much to do back then.
I had no idea there was a early version of Batman before the 60's.
There were two of them. One in 1943 and one in 1949. The casting for both Bruce and Dick in the 43 version is better, IMO.
