When the reboot smurfs movies came out I was dating a girl who was obsessed with smurfs and everything blue. It became our lives for a couple of years, it was hell. I never minded the live action movies until I saw them playing on the tv again recently, god they were bad 💀
True story... When I was in like 2nd grade we moved to a new house. Over the 8yrs we lived there we had several weird things happen. We kept hearing music at like 3am in the morning, only to discover after searching the whole house for a month or so, that there was a secret tiny room that had been walled off in our attic that was full of old toys from the 1950s. The music we heard had been coming from a tiny toy piano, we assumed mice or squirrels would get in there and walk across it at night. I would also continuously find Smurf PVC miniatures buried all over our yard and under the house. The weird thing about that was , I'm 46 now. It was the early 80s and the Smurfs TV show had just gotten popular. So I was basically finding New Toys buried in the yard of the house I had lived in for years already. I could never not find one if I decided to look for them. At one point I had like 20 of them. When I hit like 15yrs old and thought about how weird everything in that house was , I threw them all in the fire place.
To be fair, if you die, you cannot be sick anymore so you are technically "healed". Also, I think SAM is a perfect coop partner for the little brother. He can do things, cannot die and most importantly, it doesn't disturb you.
In Latin class back in the day, if there was a word that had a few disparate translations difficult to figure out without context, we were allowed to say "smurf" in its place for certain activities/assignments lol so if asked to translate what form a verb something was for one of those words we could be like "having been smurfed" "will be smurfed", etc lol
The smurf you play as sounds like a mixture of Goku from DBZ when he says something daft when vegeta gets annoyed with him and Knuckles from those animated sonic shows where knuckles says something ironically smart.
the same developer has another game based on Marsupilami (another Belgian comic book character) and it’s actually a surprisingly good Donkey Kong Country clone

As a Smurf enthusiast I can tell u that Papa Smurf is more of a father FIGURE to the Smurfs, he’s the leader, it’s unexplained how Smurflings are born but they are delivered by The Storks, I think Mother Nature (yes she’s an actual character in the show) creates them but that would also be kinda weird considering that she has the hots for Papa Smurf. Smurfs aren’t all related (except for the twin Smurfs) and Smurfette isn’t a “real” Smurf considering she was created by Gargamel. But there are actually female Smurfs too, thanks to The Lost Village. I could go on about it but I won’t

@@Deadspace123100 yeah, Peyo came up with Smurfs when he was having dinner with a friend from overseas and he mispronounced the French word for Salt and said Schtroumpf instead and Peyo found it very funny and started saying Schtroumpf in every sentence. (Schtroumpf translates to Smurf) hence why the Smurfs always say Smurf/Smurfing etc in their sentences.
If ya guys ever feel like you want to treat yourself with a GOOD game, you should treat yourselves to MK Shaolin Monks. And if ya want a funny twist to the campaign, you can input cheat codes to play the story as Scorpion and Sub-Zero

Pac-Man World 2 has brought me so much nostalgia. I would love to see you play it. Another PS2 game I played a lot as a child was Taz: Wanted. It's objectively not as good as Pac Man World 2, but it would make for some funny content. One thing I can actually say about Taz: Wanted is that there's no other game I've played quite like it.

Edit: I bought this game (as part of a three pack with Marsupilami and Asterix.. good discount, about %15.USD for three games) and I enjoyed it a lot. It reminds me of the Cars game on PS2.. way better than it had any right to be. Simple mechanics, but fun to master, and tons of collectibles. Would've been nice if it was a bit longer, but well worth it if you can get it for a good price.

Why do so many game developers just design the laziest form of co op modes in video games? It’s like “Yeah let’s just make it where the second player can do absolutely nothing so that he just has the worst time ever”
they probably implemented co-op after the level design was completed and they didn't want to go back and design a new layout for the level for 2 players.
I moved to BC few years ago and realised how unpopular were the smurfs in English Canada. They were huge in Quebec and almost inevitable if you grew up in the 90's.
Curious to see if Smurf 2 the game was much better (never realized they had games, I think the Flintstones did too... I feel like low key the Jetsons could of made a intriguing GTA ripoff)
Currently watching every mindpulp video (nearly there) and I gotta say it's a real shame that bare naked ladies aren't involved in more games cos the ITS BIIIIN that is dropped every so often in the chicken little video is hilarious
