    Good day I have a large bump just under my left knee cap that started about a year and a half ago I went for an x-ray and they said not Osgood slaughter but patella tendinitis Went for an x-ray and it said boney protrusion. Any ideas how to get rid of this large bump

      Hi John, the first thing to note is that you can't really diagnose tendon injuries through x-ray. Xrays only show bones. If you want to see what is going on in the tendon it should be either an ultrasound scan or MRI scan. But you don't really need a scan to have this diagnosed. Most sports doctors and physiotherapists should be able to diagnose this by listening to your history and making you do test movements. The main treatment for patellar tendinitis is through rehab exercises that makes the tendon strong again and stimulates it to heal. So your best chance at recovering from this is to work with a physiotherapist who can guide you through the rehab process. This is also something that our team can do online via video call.
