Kai overall, but hearing Goku say ”I’m tired of fighting” is such a good line for him there, since this is the first person Goku had fought that he truly felt was irredeemable
Doubt the irredeemable part because he constantly gave chances and even gave energy after this specific scene. I feel like Cell is the first irredeemable fighter in Z
@ That’s what I mean by him being irredeemable. Goku’s entire time on Namek he’s been telling people he’ll let them go if they stop fighting and leave, and even then he still let them live after fighting them. He does give Frieza his energy after this scene after he begs for it and the first thing he does is attack Goku, and as soon as he gets rebuilt as a cyborg he immediately goes to invade Earth just to kill Goku. Frieza is the first person Goku has met where’s he’s told them he hopes he never sees them again and he doesn’t care if they die because of how much of a monster they are I do think Cell is also pretty irredeemable as well, but he was created to be that way by Gero and can’t help his love for fighting because of his Saiyan genes, Frieza chooses to be a monster and revels in it
@@florpflop6364I feel cell is definitely pretty redeemable since he was the only villain that actually spared people and he actually gave people a chance. I could totally see him turning into an anti villain at the very least based on his Gene's. His goals in life was only to fight and reach his perfect form

This is the first one of these where I'm like one of these is clearly better than the other, and its the Kai dub here. Although, Goku's line of "I'm tired of fighting, i eant to go home", is just great in its weariness in everything that has transpired here
Z's always got the impact, but Kai takes this for eloquently doing what Kai does making it short sweet and loosing none of the impact. The only way it could be made better is using the bruce faulconer ost
Kai is cleaner with the delivery, but the original has that level of Disrespect Freiza can't recover from with the "I'm tired of fighting, Good bye". Like Bro didn't even want to finish him off. The Dub one justifies Freiza turning to a cyborg, and sitting in hell for several years with ONE thing in mind, getting even with Goku. Kai.... that's just a "GG...yeah you got me there."
I prefer Kai here but that line actually works given the context of this fight. Goku was bored, he outright quit the fight because Frieza wasn't a match for him anymore. He had already proven his superiority over his opponent and was satisfied in the way he did; he had already mentally checked out of the fight. Frieza drug the battle out further in an attempt to change the result which backfired spectacularly and brought things to a point neither he or even Goku expected them to go. Not to mention the fight was a rollercoaster from the jump. Starting off at a brisk but competitive pace to being lopsided in Frieza's favor to Goku unexpectedly gaining the advantage to things leveling out a bit to Goku gaining and maintaining the upper hand to the battle's conclusion. It went every direction it could have possibly gone and in Goku's eyes he got everything out of this fight that he could; him being "tired of fighting" verbalized that exasperation.
Goku eats ALOT of food too. But he also gets full. Same goes for fighting. Even Vegeta gets tired of fighting after a while. Not that they don’t love fighting. Just like they love food. But once they’ve had their fill for the day they are done
@@TheBamaPrinceableI think Goku is tired of fighting Frieza since he got what he wanted it was Frieza that kept cheap shooting him that made Goku get annoyed and disappointed
Hard draw. I like how Goku says he's tired of fighting (its been like 20 episodes bro lol we're all tired) but i also like him sticking it to Frieza by basically telling him he's made his bed and now its time to lay in it. Good stuff all around
It sounds more like a parent scolding their kid with the "think about what you've done". Goku sounding more disappointed in Z is more fitting considering he didn't want Frieza to die but Frieza only makes his own situation worse with either the discs or trying to kill Goku with the energy Goku gave him.
_Disclaimer: Comments roasting Z or Kai to one up each other will be ignored._ This time, it feels like Kai is trying to oversell the scene, though not to say the script itself is necessarily bad. Z has the obligatory higher and slightly overacted Goku tone that pushes through at the start, but his dialogue and delivery are more appropriate for his disappointment as it continues. "I wanted to save you, Frieza, but you wouldn't let me. And now you will have to share the fate of the planet Namek. Which you, yourself, destroyed." This quote just hits hard. It completes the scene. And the Faulconer pulsing synth fits so well. It's not too in your face.
