I had to wrestle with 1 Corinthians 6 when I was a pastor in Missouri, and our state convention was involved in a series of lawsuits against five of our state agencies. The deciding factor for me was Jesus' instruction about dealing with someone who sinned against you. If you have made several appeals and the offending person refuses to repent, Jesus said to treat him "as a publican and a Gentile". Thus, if someone slanders me and refuses to retract it, I would have NO quarrels with suing him. I wouldn't be suing a Christian brother or sister. I would be suing a publican and a Gentile.

We have enough Baptist layman who have served in secular fields (judges, lawyers, law enforcement, social work, counselors, etc.) that would do an excellent job as a God-called team to lead our churches to deal with the abuse issue.
It’s unbiblical for the church to allow allegations of any kind against pastors, without the testimony of two or more witnesses - these being public witnesses whose identity, character, and motivations are open to the scrutiny of the church.
I have a question on the Law suite in our SBC is there a sort of a church court between fellow belivers of diffrent churches other than the local court like the Presbyterianism
The only sustainable direction of the church is God direction to preach the Gospel of Grace rather than humanism, saving America by the vote, and secular idolatry, loving to be seen.
It was my disappointing experience.. that wrongdoing of various kinds.. will sometimes be ignored or covered up.... in other Protestant denominations, regardless of their polity.

Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better. And addressing/thanking the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea. Be my friend and I will pray for you, but I do not know how much help me doing so will give you. You should try to practice daily prayer yourself.
