Ways to have an epiphany -read a book -have a deeeep conversation with someone -take a substance -write out your thoughts -challenge your beliefs Theirs is a lot of ways to have a revelation but this is what I’ve learned over the years. Because of the fact that we have a very finite amount of time on this planet their is no way to review all the evidence and possibilities that are out there, we all have to figure out what makes the most sense to us and stick with it... otherwise you’ll go insane trying to find answers and the deeper you go the deeper it gets. And even when you believe you have it all figured out 2 - 3 weeks later more evidence is revealed to the contrary and challenges everything once again... so my friends the point I’m trying to make is that “what you believe.. is a choice” so choose wisely and reality can be whatever you wish it to be
1) Hello, I am an ENFJ (dating an INTP) who enjoys your videos! 2) I have thought of this exact same phenomenon and coined the term. I think it is an Ne-Si thing. My ENFP best friend calls this "rewriting Si" As an Ni user, I do NOT do this. Thats how I think epiphanies come more naturally for Ni users is because we don't have the Si details of the past holding us back. Old details that are no longer relevant just naturally disappear for Ni users so when new info comes, epiphany comes with it because the picture moves with it! I have found that Ne users take a bit longer to come to these conclusions/epiphanies because they have to go back and change the details I the past to align with a new future. 3) I made a lame ENFJ video a few weeks ago that you should check out! I hope to make more with more defined topics sometime soon. ua-cam.com/video/SLcQd6bswrI/v-deo.html
Maybe I totally missed the point of this, but I think I kind understand the concept that you're coming from and I think I kind of do something similar. I've always wondered if other people did it. But like when I want to understand something new and how it relates to me or how its relevant to me I'm always approaching it like a complex algebraic expression or like fractions. You have to restructure the expression before you can solve it, or you have to find the common denominator before you can go further. The simplest example I can think of would be like directions on a map. I might compare someone else's route home to my own or my options for directional routes. After I figure out how two expressions are similar, I'm able to see more fully how they differ. Or in terms of situations that might come up in someone's family that I might hear of that should evoke sympathy I first have to try to find empathy by translating it to my own. x-Relation>situation>How I would in turn feel if I were x. Then I can empathize and then in turn sympathize. It makes much more sense in my head I swear xD. Its not some long drawn out process, its kind of an automatic thing I do when I talk to people and contemplate new situations and ideas. I seem to do this with almost everything, not just situations involving other people. Its kind of how my mind analyzes and processes different inputs and situations. Once I'm able to apply myself or get things to relate to existing information, I'm able to fully process and understand in new ways and avenues. I sometimes have to shift the perspective in various ways first because they don't always fit, but eventually I get there, and if I don't I end up dropping it as irrelevant until I have some new information that might help me analyze it fully. I'm pretty sure most people do this to an extent, but some people are more conscious of the process and have more power and control over it. I've tried to explain this to some of my friends and have them try it out and they seem to get confused, frustrated and "short circuit" then quit. Sorry... I think I'm rambling now hahaha
Steve F Yeah, if some intp wants to psychedelics i would suggest start with micro doses, and be in comfy place, with maybe some close friend(psychedelic drugs and big party only looks fun in movies) who has some experience with it. It can be very very different of what you have experienced in life.Have solid info on the substance obv.
Just be very careful of a bad trip. Setting is very important, maybe in your room with positive music or movies, ornwith friends who know what you have been on. Having a place to lie down alone is good.
I learned recently these are introverted intuition moments.
Psychedelic drugs will condense that "long time" into a day. Then take time to integrate the new perspective fully.

That TARDIS lamp! ♥
Interesting. I am Ni dom and I do this all the time naturally (no drugs required!). I think you nailed it.

I love your videos :)
Will Psychedelics (Psylocibin, LDS, DMT) negatively effect my INTP thinking? or just open other doors and perceptions and turn off filters?
in moderation i believe its overall a good perspective enhancer, just know it also opens you to emotional perspectives that we tend to shut out.
