Also, I enjoy that you can fully appreciate a Susvara, and have a critical enough ear that you can demand only the beefiest, cleanest of amps for it, while also still enjoying a 6XX. It's a great headphone, too, in its way.
The tube certainly helped my Arya V2 out of an MCTH, back in the day. I have tried a few other than the EH6922 that it comes with. Nothing that I've found makes it sound better. It used to be $15 to replace it, which I thought was expensive. Now it's nearly twice that. I think if I had to pay hundreds of dollars for a tube, I'd just switch to 100% solid state.
@@soulfulfool MCTH stands for Massdrop Cavalli Tube Hybrid. The tube boosts the voltage, then it goes to mosfets to boost the current and drop the output impedance.
met a guy commenting that his tube amps got sound signature, actual tubes in amp for him could be real garbage that was his thinking 🤣 I tell you he was true audiophile xD
It is interesting though. I'm sure it's all synergy right? Id eager same set of tubes on a poorly built tube amp will not sound as good, or same, as well engineered amp. I have no facts to back that up, just kinda makes sense to me.

my Arya v2 and any other planars distort too much using tube amp, I guess your amp supports planars or you like that "bloom" sound without definition
