Extinguishing a controlled burn. 4/1/2019

A slower paced video of a controlled burn being extinguished. Company 6, 5, and 4 responded to a roadway construction site for a third party call that had stated his workers had a brush pile go out of control and catch a piece of equipment on fire. While responding the workers extinguished the Excavator but still needed assistance with the piles. The workers asked that we not totally extinguish the burn pile but while the excavator was exposed to flames a fluid line had been ruptured rendering the machine inoperable and unable to be move further away from the burn pile. At roughly 3:45 you can hear a worker who had the nerve to complain to our nozzle man about how long it would take for them to reignite their burn pile after we had put it out to save their equipment.
