I do actually miss 2015 battlefront, i miss how momentum of a team actually influenced the background battles. Shame we didn't get that in Battlefront 2
It was in battlefront at launch tho it kinda had walker assault, but it got supremacy what ruined that, not saying that mode is bad but not like walker assault.
Battlefront 2 was objectively better as a videogame than battlefront 1. However I miss the amount of little details they where in battlefront 1. Very Pretty game. A pitty the servers are a ghost town.
What I find super impressive is the amount of detail in the crashing of the ships. They don’t just fall and explode, the lights flicker and go out, the engines burn out, little explosions go off as they fall, the amount of smoke coming off as they hit the ground. Like these aren’t toys, these are massive ships. Even the sounds they make are really good.
I remember an awesome moment on sunset Tattooine playing Supremacy. The Empire had us pushed back all the way to our last position, but we managed to pick up our momentum and did a hard push, pushing them all the way across the map to their final position. As we did that, I spawned in an A-Wing, right as the rebel ships joined the battle in the background. It was unforgettable. We ended up winning.
8:05 -- So the Star Destroyer that is crashing is a II-class. But what else I wanted to point out is while it is crashing, another one in the background, I cannot tell what class it is, is also crashing. It is random and I should not laugh, but that was just too funny. X^D
@@Deltasquadformingup Hey, Delta. ':^) I remember making this comment. When modding EaW, I search up various Star Wars media to help with my mod. I had to leave a comment on this video. That random second SD crashing just left me laughing, ha.
Lol no. This game was rushed for the release of the Force Awakens and as a result is lacking content & is severely handicapped by simplistic & restrictive gameplay. Visually stunning otherwise.
I dont think anything could of topped that super star destroyer crashing on Jakku and the giant sand storm or sand tsunami coming towards to the map was insane . Battlefront1 was overhated imo, loved every bit of it except the paid dlcs lool , i think battlefront2 spoiled me a bit
You have to admire for a moment the engineering that has to go into capitol ships. These are over a mile long, capable of hyperspace over galactic distances, and are entire mobile bases brimming with weapons, personnel, and equipment and supplies. That and the Imperial II class with it's immense repulsorlift generators that keep it in an atmosphere. When it goes, the brick literally drops right onto the planet, millions of metric tons of machined metal meets it's unfortunate (fortunate if your Rebel Alliance) end. I'm still curious though, what would have happened to the planet had a desperate Star Destroyer Captain decided to attempt a Lightspeed jump? Would he/she simply wiped it out? Imagine a burning hulk of a ship, it's dying breath as the fires consume it. Then all of a sudden the fractured remains seems to blast forward as its mighty hyperspace drive comes online. I couldn't imagine a more horrific death for those on the planet, and those on the ship as every molecule shifts beyond light speed.
Wasn't there some sort of restriction about starting hyperspace jumps from within a gravity well? Or, was that retconned? I think I remember there being an explanation for this at some point (which was also how the interdictor type ships worked, by creating a gravity well). Anyway, assuming that's no longer an issue, I think that yes, such a scenario would be (best case scenario) a planetwide apocalypse (assuming of course that an object in hyperspace carries the same energy as an equivalent object at or near the speed of light, which, as this is fiction, cannot ever really be known.)
I would agree with you… If we didn’t see Star Destroyers get destroyed so easily in the movies. I mean, an A Wing crash was enough to take out an entire super star destroyer
It certainly is. This game might be my favorite Star Wars game. It is the most immersive game, I've ever played. SW Battlefront 2015 and Battlefild 1 were DICE's peak in terms of graphical fidelity. They used photogrammetry to scan the actual locations of the Oriiginal Trilogy to recreate them in the game. It is painfully obvious, that in Battlefront 2 (with its main game mode being galactic assult at launch - Capital Supremacy came post launch), you are being led down paths, that serve the linearity of the game mode. The maps of Battlefront 2 were designed for Galactic Assault and not the other way 'round like in Battlefront 2015. In Battlefront 2015, they had the photo-scanned locations and they built the game mode into the maps. Battlefront 2015 had very little content at launch (but the DLCs kept the level of quality of the base game's maps and with them, the overall package was great), but the content, that was there was put together with an insane amount of care and because of that, Battlefront 2015 turned out to be one of DICE's peak game in terms of atmosphere and immersion. PS: The other game with the same attention to detail, resulting in the same immersion was Battlefield 1. DICE took the exact same approach with that game.
This game was all spectacle and no substance. Rushed for the release of the Force Awakens and as a result is lacking content & is severely handicapped by simplistic & restrictive gameplay. Visually stunning otherwise.
The system isn't as complex as say something like Galactic Contention, but the variety of guns is very enjoyable, and even though the star cards and traits on their face are simple, the fact that you can combo them in infinitely customizable ways makes for a fun and unique experience different from other battlefront games
Remember in the old battlefront games you could have teamates on the ground fighting and teammates in space fighting and they could land on enemy ships blow up the reactor core and you could see the ship blow up
In Battlefront 2, there’s a lot more details about what happened during the battlefront on Jakku in Iden’s story. This battlefront really did earn the title “Graveyard of Giants.”

I'll give EA this; the animators and sound and modeling people knocked it out of the park with making these huge, heavy ships feel weighty and massive as they blow up and smash into the ground.
one inaccuracy, speed of light and sound are different, it is common for explosions far away to see the blast seconds before you hear it, it's the lightening-thunder counting technique to measure the distance, and assuming a star destroyer is a mile long, those capital ships are miles away.

@@mysteryguy9386 That is pretty much an accurate answer I can think of.
