    Had quite a bit of trouble figuring out how to attach the rover + lander to the launcher; here's a solution I figured out
    1. Attach an interstage under the lander, it would try to cover the engines but might clip the rover + landing legs
    2. Make it really thin, and then offset it downward so that the lander is "floating" above it
    3. Attach a fairing base around the interstage, and a fuel tank under the fairing base, that way the fairings can be placed enveloping the lander
    4. Change staging so that the interstage, fairings, and lander engines all deploy at the same time
    Also some additional tips:
    1. quicksave often; I somehow often get a bug on such craft where heading lock or maneuver nodes spin out the craft and might break some parts
    2. try to land as close as possible; the rover is *slow* (about 2-3 m/s). At least it's quite controllable even when I did 5x fast forward

      Nice approach. Do you maybe even have a video of it in action?

    I was wondering: are there any contracts to send a rover to moons like Miros or Taurus? I already sent a few rovers to Luna and Brigo but i haven't got any moon rover contracts outside of Droo's moons

      @@soyelguerrerodefinitivo6844 im struggling with the exact same thing right now. Trying to get contracts for the outer bodies in the system. I don't have an answer yet. I'm still investigating...

    nice Video, exactly what I was looking for since I'm a little stuck on that mission. I managed to land at the targeted area and detach the rover. But I couldnt control it. There is no "take control" button on any part of the rover. Do you know what might be the problem there?

      @@Bengalo9 I am always using the keyboard shortcut for switching control between all vehicles in the area. Did you try that already?

      @@Goddchen yeah didnt work either :( I tried the lander on the launch pad and it seems the rover can only be controlled once it's fully unfolded but it's wiggling all around and keeps breaking apart everytime. I think I might do some tweaks and test a little bit more
      edit: I tried the lander in sandbox at luna base and it seems to work there without the rover breaking apart so the issue seems to be droo's gravity or something. I'll just try it again :)

      @@Bengalo9 Maybe you had the same issues that I was experiencing and, during descend, some parts broke off or exploded (I guess due to high g forces). Maybe your rover control unit is just gone?

      Maybe it didn't have a command component like chip, etc. That might be the reason

    • @Bengalo9
      @Bengalo9 6 місяців тому +2

      @@hk416d4 it did by default, that was one of that pre-constructed rovers for a mission. The issue was the rover had to completely unfold but couldnt sometimes because something broke during the landing phase or the touchdown. It worked after a couple of quickloads tho.
