This is an amazing garden she really packed it but it was done with such care and thought. I was in euphoria watching this, such beautiful work on her part. The plants God has given us are just impressive
Beautiful! Here in the South we can't plant that close, believe me I've tried. Because it’s so humid everything get's diseased from lack of air flow and sunlight. I'm having to dig up some of my trees.
This jaboticaba is actually Myrciaria Coronata Everyone has been calling it the wrong name for decades. The original plant in California was at Paul Thompson’s old grove in vista and was dug out 20 years ago by Steve Spengler. I have a 25 year old that hasn’t flowered yet. My sabara trees have been fruiting heavy for 10 years and began to produce decent crops around 15 years old. The coronata takes the longest to begin bearing
That's my dream yard love it, all those fruit trees, I live in Orlando florida and I've lost a lot of tropical fruit trees when we experience those few cold nights it's very disheartening to see my dream for a tropical backyard turns into a disappointment,
A few new ones on me, and thank you for showing us the flower, fruit, bark, canopy, so much detail. I am thinking of grafting Pistacea vera onto Pistacea lentiscus which grows like crazy where I am near Valencia, Spain, do you have any experience with that? I’d be interested in other nut trees you’ve come across for zone 9/10. Great video, remarcable garden, thank you both 🙏🙏
Loved this video. I live in Sydney (which is warm temperate to subtropical climate, depending on the suburb) and will soon be moving into a home I am buying which will have enough front and back garden space for a food forest. I can't wait. I'm already planning out my tree guilds. Thank you for sharing this lady's garden/forest.
I’m in south Texas and we have so many birds! I have a fruit tree and they thoroughly peck at the fruit before it’s even ripe How do you keep birds from eating most of your fruit before it’s even ready to eat?
Please assist me, I m trying to airlayer Rollinia but only got a large callous and no roots after 45 days. I'm in Florida it's 95 degrees for 3 weeks, I rewrapped the site. How long should I have to wait? The tree has flowered, set 1 fruit this year, has many new flowers and growing new leaves. Any ideas
Any information on how she irrigates her food forrest? Or is it self sustaining? I was talking to a cousin yesterday and saying how im tired of how food forrest videos brag about how they're self sustaining but they're all in places where it rains. I also said that long term, self sustaining food forrest in so cal don't work. Am I wrong? I hope I'm wrong.
Those trees are planted too close together! There is a reason that most of her trees are not going to grow and fruit properly because the roots are all competing for nutrients and the other trees are shaded out and so will not produce fruit properly.
If you go to any forest, you will see trees growing very close to each other. She’s mimicking nature here. Actually her trees produce lots of fruit, partly because she builds up the soil with lots of mulch, compost, worm castings, etc.
This has got to be Orange County. That’s where I am. What a beautiful garden. This is what every gardener/collector dreams about

Amazing garden. It would be interesting to see it in a different time of the year too.
Thanks for watching. This garden looks very different in the winter

That’s good info. Thanks. What’s the difference between plinia coronata ‘restinga’ and myrciaria coronata?
Wow! What an extraordinary garden! What a treat that you got to experience that!
Wow, that was an amazing tour of your friend's yard. I really love it--It's unique to her and that's what matters👍🏼👍🏼I ❤️her Feijoa collection.
Thanks! Her garden is special, and it’s always fun to visit 🌱🥑🌲🍀
Great variety of fruit trees and shrubs i love it 👍🏽
I have acres and I plant two tree to a spot, add elderberry, strawberry and canna edulis around them a well. Trees want friends around!
Yes indeed!
Woah that’s a nice garden! Those Jaboticaba trees are huge, I have a 3yr old Red Variety that should fruit within 5 years hopefully lol.
I likes this. Love the high density.
great video & variety of fruit trees
The cape goose berry is called a “poha” berry in Hawaii. Strawberry guava is called “waiwi.”

It’s tough to watch your trees suffer and die, but you learn the hard way what can grow in your area and what can’t. Don’t give up!
Dangggg amazing

I don’t have experience with that one. I don’t grow nut trees in my area. Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching

Sounds exciting. Let us know how your food forest grows!
Great video
Thanks!

How do you keep birds from eating most of your fruit before it’s even ready to eat?
You can try hanging CDs on various branches throughout the tree. Fruit protector bags can help too. The bags are pretty cheap on Amazon
Netting is often the only way
Wow ! Is amazingly awesome.
How big is this piece of land ?

I’ve always wondered and heard of huge lychee trees in Orange County, could you possibly do a video on those?

I believe she waters everything once a week
Very inspiring. Do you know if she sells white sapote scions?
Which varieties are you looking for?
How many acres is this place?
Not sure. Less than an acre for sure
Can you send me some jabouticaba seeds
