I think in the 4 town video her last name is Wexler, but it’s another one in the coloring book, and *another one* entirely somewhere else? I’m pretty sure Priya have 2 different last names too
Miriam is so underrated. People seem way more into Priya's quietness and Abby's pure chaos (no disrespect though I like them too) and they overlook how kind and supportive of a friend that Miriam is
Something I’ve always noticed is that Miriam is always so supportive of Mei. The reason she was so hurt compared to the other two was because she felt so betrayed Mei wouldn’t stick up for her after all she did. Of course, I understand Mei’s POV as well overall, their backgrounds are very different. Miriam’s parents seem a lot more relaxed and laid back compared to Mei’s mom. I just always loved how kindly Miriam treated Mei and how she was always so concerned and caring to her.
@@netherfreakultima4498 I don’t think I could only blame Ming ONLY BECAUSE Mei had the chance to finally stand her ground and tell her she played a part in it, but she didn’t. Of course I understand both sides but Mei rlly should’ve said something 😭
Miriam is literally so vital to this movie. She’s there to help Mei grow the way her mom refuses to let her grow. She actively encourages her interests, lets her know that these changes in her life aren’t so bad, and reminds her that she’ll always love her and be proud of her no matter what. Miriam’s there to bring change and personal growth into a positive light. We all need someone like her in our lives.
She's my favorite too. Abby is so chaotic, it could be tiring to keep up with her all the times. Priya is so quiet, it would be awkward just being with her alone all the times. Miriam is the most easy to hang out with.
One thing that stuck out to me was how only her parents said she was allowed to go to the concert, under the condition that she had to buy the ticket herself. With parenting style being such a big theme in this movie, it was nice to see (at least what I consider) a very reasonable compromise from very reasonable parents. It’s such a subtle message that shows being a controlling or strict parent isn’t the only way to your child’s success. Even though they are just characters, I would like to believe that her parents are willing to make compromises with her, and as a result help her build empathy and responsibility. Would explain why she is the most supportive one out of the friend group!
@@AtesSu2006. I said she is written as the most supportive, but not necessarily the best! (my favorite character is abby ofc) However, I do think it is interesting that the other 3 asian characters in the friend group all have strict parents. Miriam is such a good friend! She understands everything mei thinks. She will always help her friends and always sees the good in people (With a great voice)
"What's with your face" made me laugh harder than I should've.
this movie is so cute, but yet I wish I had friends like them back then, going through puberty and feeling lonely was rough, a friend like Miriam would've been nice

"Wait she doesn't?"
The fact that she held that face for so long, so funny...yet so sad
I like how they are so protective of Mei I wish I had friends like this
I love her so much. She's so supportive and kind - and helps her friends (especially meimei) grow
Miriam indead represents that ome friend we all need, the supportive and caring one who gives advice and helps her friends stand back to their feet. She will give all her energy and love to the ones who she cares and she will try to protect them
Miriam felt betrayed bc for her it was like that all the work, all her energy, all her love towards Mei had gone down the drain. Than she tried so hard to be helpful and supportive bc this is what her character is, and she felt that she isnt even good at that. Thats why when Mei got to the concert she didnt forgive her immediately.
This crap hurts...
No wonder some people have serious trust issues
me when i'm crying in rage
SHES SO CUTEEE I LOVE HER
i love her two
Miriam is so sweet and supportive she's one of my favorite characters
Miriam actually made me laugh the most in the movie, with "What's up with your FACE" and "[my mom doesn't like you] wait she doesn't ?..."
Miriam is a Great-Missing Out Character!
She's very Compasionate, Tolerant, Kind, Especially towards her Friends And learnt best moves!💚
Random girl: what's with her?
Miriam: WHATS WITH YOUR FACE?!
I love that line 😂
Miriam reminds me so much of my ex bestfriend who turned toxic after 8th grade and its really heartwarming to watch. This movie cool tho
aww im sorry about your friend ye i have a friend who reminds me of miriam its so weird its almost as if disney based miram charecter of of them XDD
MIRIAMS FACE AFTER MEI SAYS HER MOM DOESNT LIKE HER IM DYING
"Please stop beatboxing, I'm literally having a mental breakdown!"
"Boots and cats and boots and cats"
Just one thing: Miriam is underrated.
YES!
I love how she is smiling I’m 99% of the scenes it’s so cute❤️❤️
Miriam is the best character in the movie , i love it
2:01 for me🤣🤣 Miriam is my favorite,I remember my friend when I was in middle school she was exactly like Miriam ♥️
She's an amazing character, I wished I had a friend like her
Miriam
I'm like her lol
She's such a supportive and good friend😭💗 I mean all the girls are but wish I had a Miriam back in Middle school.
I Litterally looked and acted like her in highschool
Same. She's the most relatable character for me.
Nobody mentions this, but Miriam is a jewish girl. But it's never really outwordly mentioned or anything. But Miriam Wexler is a jewish name.
Its a Arabic name and a Muslim name too, she was never confirmed be Jewish
@@Luna-dh6yt lol my name is mariam and that's an arabic name too, but not because her name is arabic or muslim means she is arabic and muslim..her name is sure close enough but we can't assume now can we
Exactly, they're ALL Asian...thought it was Rosen tho, hmmm
@@k.t.5405 Prayi: Indian

Abby: Possibly chinese too.
They're All asiatic LOL
@@cansino1636 true dat
As someone who is a North American Jewish female, I can tell you that I looked exactly like that in middle school. The braces, the curly hair in two braids, even the tomboyish personality. My fashion sense wasn’t the same because I was 13 in 2018, but I imagine I would have dressed similarly if that was the fashion sense.
OMG MIRIAM IS MY FAVORITE TURNING RED CHARACTER AND THIS IS WHY-
⚫️I relate to her 🍄🌝
⚫️We have similar personalities 🌵🌞
⚫️Mei looks like one of my friends so Miriam and Mei are like cartoon versions of us 😇😇
⚫️Miriam looks like me irl 💜😊
⚫️She’s just overall a good character 🤪😚
⚫️she is very supportive and wholesome 🤧🤠
⚫️and LASTLY She is probably one of 1st Tomboy-ish/sporty Disney Pixar characters😎🛹
What
Me and Miriam have the same personality and style in clothes

@@YourMom-le1sp for a second i thought your pfp was a picture of Gumball in the episode the Slap while showing his butt- but I’m glad it’s something else. I’m also confused
When Mei Mei didn’t stand up for herself, Oriya and Abby looked mad but Miriam was just sad
And the way Miriam turned around and looked at Mei that way on the roof
IstgMiriam likes her
Who's oriya
I’m pretty sure they meant Priya, It was probably just a spelling mistake
I literally love her
The way she looks at mei with so much love and care❤️
"Miriam Wexler"... according to the Disney Wiki, her last name is Mendelsohn
miriam webster?
I thought the same!!
her surname differs depending if you check the official website or the official lyric video for 4*town’s song.
Someone said her last name is rosan and then on google her name is wexler, and according to u its mendelsohn
Which one is it
It could be... Miriam Wexler Mendelsohn
Miriam is such a good friend. And just overall great.
best caracther
''she's sooo brainwashed''
She's so adorable ngl
Mir is literally so underrated ugh.
I also noticed that she and Mei are the most fluid in motion out of the 4 of the girls. Idk if that means anything but its an observation.
I just realized that mei didn't pay for the concert 💀
They could've just got into mei's back and jump in the concert as well without paying 💀
Her character design reminds me of an Aardman character and I love it.
who
Dude, I’ve been thinking the same thing! She wouldn’t look out of place in an Aardman movie
She’s literally my favorite character
Singing their favorite song to calm down panda Mei. That's just precious.
A
Miriam reminds me of my childhood bestie 🥺💖
If Mei had a sister, Mariam would be the right choice to be one. She's one the best examples of a sibling like friendship.
Well technically in my AU Miriam had two step siblings Molly and Thomas but there's a catch her eye is half blind on the left and one of her siblings died without thin air which is Molly even though she's still 7 years old get it now
Also her and Aaron T are not in love anymore cause she has a huge crush on koda you know dino charge blue
.
@@MallowSoft7741 i simped for she is kind hearted
I love that Tyler became like their bestie after bullying them for so long. He probably liked Mei.
If it’s one of those “bullies of the opposite sex secretly fancy you” cliches like in Hey Arnold or Loud House, that makes sense.
Those tropes always confused me, like, if you truly liked someone why would you go out of your way to mortify, embarrass and bully them? Even if you don’t know how to deal with your crush on said person, or don’t want to admit it, wouldn’t you have at least some respect for that person?
@@Sparkletta yeah boys are wierd lol
@@Sparklettatruth is- it actually happens just like that. Lol. Back in my middleschool years I had a bully that was just like tyler- made fun of me endlessly but would switch personalities when no one was around or when he wanted something from me, there was no reading him and I always wondered why tf is this kid always picking on me?? Then in highschool one of his former friends (who later became one of my good friends) would tell me that my bully had a crush on me the entire time. Tropes have to come from somewhere right? Lol
@@Sparkletta because you don’t have to worry about your object of affection leaving you if they’re too afraid to reject you in the first place. Subconscious power play, an instinctive yet underhanded and abusive way to avoid being ostracized.
She is without a doubt my favorite! since I saw it in the trailer I already loved her!🥺💕
I love how they drew the textures of her outfit 💚
Not gonna lie i love how her intro was played, it just seems like a situation so relatable
Imagine Pixar releasing a short that shows Miriam taking care of Mei's Tamagotchi ❤️

Maybe Ming doesn't like Miriam because Miriam keeps catching her spying on Mei, LOL!
oh man literally just a week ago when I watched this for the first time, I looked at the views and silently ranted to myself on why this wasn't getting more views bc I noticed that Miriam was (and maybe still is) very underrated and often overshadowed in terms of popularity on social media favorites by Priya and Abby despite being the deuteragonist (or at least from how I see it) for the movie.
Now seeing this going to 999k+ views makes me happy:"))
The score for this movie is awesome.
4:56 im dead XD her FACE IN THOSE TWO SCENES XDDDD
all the girls have so much love for each other and it’s so wonderful and heart warming to watch !!!
Why does her face look SO familiar???? Idk why..
maybe because the animation is similar to characters in luca ig. I thought the same thing haha
Aardman?
She's like Pepa

Miriam: *glares at the girl* what's with your face?!
My favorite line from Miriam lol
