- I picked up the SMK probably sometime late last year and did not have a favorable view of it initially. Then late one night I decided I will take the SMK out as a joke and troll the guys. The SMK can't be that bad... I didn't expect it to be that good either.

Remember when the Soviet Army took their SMK's, mounted them under TB-3's and went to fight the Germans in Africa? Me neither, but Grandpa still tells the story of how the USSR defended the Egyptian border for Stalin. All joking aside, this thing is what the T-35 dreams of being one day. It's the penultimate soviet land yacht.

Bruh I've been fucked over by that armor so many times... I kept shooting at it and nothing happened... got shot by it's friend
unless you see a Panzer IV F2 you shouldn't fear anything if you're into a Maty.
Matilda's die from just about anything at their BR. Japanese 47mm, German 50mm, all can easily pierce the armor. SMK's L-11 is just very poor. 77mm penetration at best at 10m distance. The US M6 37mm has better penetration stats.

He would've been alright if he packed APCR into his 45mm front gun.... but he didn't so it's his own fault lol, screw the 75mm main gun on the SMK (or whatever it is) the 45mm gun is where it's at!!! IF YOU USE THE APCR!! Otherwise the tank is trash & just a big ol' xp pinata for the enemy team

I recently got the Kv-1 L-11, I thought I was going to gloriously stomp all opposition for the Motherland...but then I realized that it's basically just a T34 with more armor. It has decent armor but an absolutely horrible gun.
That part with the Matilda had me giggling for the rest of video.
I thought it was good when the bomb actually bounced off but when the next round actually stuck...props to the player in the plane. That's some nice work.

Little tip for tow hooks they connect to the spot your gun is looking at so just use the gun sight to aim the tow hook to easily move friends out of tight spots.

Well historically it was a bloody good tank lol, the Russians loved the ones we gave them, on 1 account a Russian tanker said his Matilda got hit 87 times with 0 penetrations 😉 they've just ruined it in war thunder 😒

Yep, that Mathilda was suspect, it seemed he knew you couldn't hurt him, without him even bothering to look what was shooting him.
When fighting a Matilda, flank it and fire into its rear hull. 55mm of armor there.
Or just not shoot at any part of it that looks like it could block a shot from the Death Star

Commodore Sven Reddy I thought the Matilda was pretty good at Tier IV in WOT? Been a while however, moved on to WT though...
ChaosphereIX From my experience, it gets into matches with tier 6 tanks and can't do much. It's not the worst but the gun with high pen only does about 50 damage per shot. I struggled through it only to find the Churchill(?) was like the Matilda. Except it cost twice as much to get upgrades, couldn't bounce shots and ended up in tier 7 games.
Then again, I'm hardly the best when it comes to WoT.
look the inside the tank series and you'll see that putting a bigger gun than 2pdr is the matilda"s turret is just a no go
you don't have a good past with killing weaker tanks, first you couldn't kill me with rockets then the Matilda; never change bo

88mm spam is hard to fight sometimes. Although the Russian frag shells take care of them easily.

useing the wrong 37mm ammo you need to use the 130mm pen rounds in the 37 and the shrapmetal round in th 75

M8 b34 is so good it's a amazing super fast bomber with amazing guns and it's also a god tier fighter

on a scale of 1 to 10, how worth is the smk - I treat it as a slower KV-1 with a crew of thousands. The second cannon is useful, as is the unfamiliarity: since it's not seen that much, people aren't sure where the weak spots are. As a result, it's even harder to kill than it would be normally.
I love my SMK. I've had some of my best matches in it.

I accuse almost all British tanks of over performance in war thunder lol. I used to hate Russian tanks so much... then the Brits came... I hate them more than the Russians... Stupid autoloader cannons and armor that's like deflects almost anything half the time (or at least it seems)... sigh... darn you Nigel!!!
