So many companies working the micro CHP angle have come and gone in the last 15 years it makes my head spin ... anyone is welcome to see for themselves by glancing at wikipedia on the subject.

totally agree, last info I found was from 2018 and then nothing, I think it's not as good as it should be in theory, it would have been a go-to thing by now if it was,

@@wiezyczkowata I'd buy a micro-chp in a hot sec if it were available and affordable, so I could be off grid ... but we're still without options as of this writing. Since the current market and technology seems to be targeting large buildings and businesses, it may be that the only way to penetrate at the residential level is through a local 'power collective' model, for things like apartment buildings and gated communities. That doesnt help people who are already homeowners though.

@@RovingPunster I wonder how much does it really cost to operate it, the idea behind it is amazing and I wanted to get one but , as you say, the company now only targets companies or multi-family buildings, but I watched a video of how it works and the guy said it takes a galon of oil, not sure if it's for a day, month or how long and then it needs a coolant as well, the last reviews from UK were 2018 and then nothing more,

@@wiezyczkowata A lot of this stuff is computerized, so some of it may be impacted by the chip shortage as well. There's also a lot of different battery storage and pv technology startups underway, going boom and then bust, like a distant thunderstorm - the light show has likely transfixed a lot of companies in the industry sector, who think it's lower hanging fruit with greater potential returns than res8dential micro-chp .... which collectively might help explain why so little seems to be happening in the latter. That's my guess.

Major thumbs down for the unnecessary and overly loud Thump Thump music!
