- Upgrading The Quiet & Somewhat Feeble Horn On A Volkswagen Transporter. Quick Run-Through Of The Horn & First Test Run!
In today's video we're working on a WW Transporter T5.1 which it's horn has failed (Just in time for it's MOT) so we removed the old rusted unit and replaced it with this awesome 110DB that was a simple plug and play thanks to the Special Wiring Adaptor.
Sound Output:
Approx. 110 dB(A) measured at 2 meters form the source
Approx. 133 dB(A) measured at 4 inches form the source

This horn will most definitely alert other Road Users to your presence on the road! The great thing as well is that it's still MOT Compliant :)

The double horn is way more aggressive than this ,this sounds like an old truck

Did you make a how to for this? Looking to fit on in a T6 - does anyone know if it's as simple as switching out the horn or are wires and fuses needed? Thanks!

We’ve not fitted one to a T6.1 yet but I can’t see why not.
I've got a T6.1 Multivan Highline and just check to see if this would work with my auto electrician and he said yes as the horn isn't part of the can bus system...The horn on the new multivans is crapi!! they've changed it from a 2 tone to single...I have a friendly sparrow that comes in my garden that farts louder than that 🤒
