Andy was great. I had to watch a day late. Tornadoes, thunderstorms and power outages kept me offline last night.

    To Mark Eldon,
    In my Experience,
The Unexpected Stoppages are mostly caused by interference (EMI) generated from High Power Electric equipment that may operate nearby. Even the Router Spindle itself can trigger false alarms by corrupting the signals as it is a high voltage power device, which ideally comes Unearthed with a plastic Body., So Radiated EMI Will not dissipate hence it will disturb delicate signals...!
    Possible Solutions:-
    1) Separate Spindle Cable or Any High Power device Cable from signal/low voltage Wires ( EStop/Limit Switch/Step/Dir/Inputs/Outputs,/Digital Wires..etc) Dont route them together.
In essence low voltage Signal wires (Limits,EStops,Motor Signal Wires..etc) should be isolated from high voltage wires.(VFD,SMPS,,Router Motor,Spindle,Fluorescent Lamps,Plasma Sources..etc)
    2) Use Shielded Cables for all such Signal Wires and connect the shielding to the Earth Ground on the enclosure side only.
Similarly the high voltage lines are to be shielded and grounded at the enclosure Bus Bar. This is called a Single Point Grounding
3)Attach Ferrite Cores at Both ends of all such signal Cables. Ferrites are passive EMI Filters. Or You Can Buy EMI Filters and route mains lines through them.
4)Keep the Signal Cables as short as possible so that You Can Reduce interference from High Voltage Sources and in conjunction with Ferrites.
3)USB Based Connections are prone to EMI corruption . So Use Good grade Shielded USB cables and Use with Ferrites as well. Keep them as short as possible.
    4)Cheap way is ,
wrapping Aluminium tape around all cables and connect one end to the Earth Ground.
Solder a lead to the shielding and connect to the common Earth bar provided inside enclosure.!
Do this for all cables if possible. So the earthing of the shields of all the cables will meet at one point only.,which is the Earth bar inside enclosure.! Then the Earth bar is grounded to the actual EarthRod. Make sure to use braided copper bands for shielding , which would give good results.
The idea is, if the signal Cable encounters High frequency waves at any of its passage , the shielding will immediately pick it up and send to ground. So maximum coverage is needed with shielding

user-oq9ml8jb1t, Thank you for sharing your insights on dealing with unexpected stoppages due to EMI interference from high-power electric equipment. It's important to follow proper cable routing and grounding techniques to minimize these issues when using CNC routers. These tips can be helpful for maintaining a stable signal connection during woodworking operations.

How do you connect two wire limit switches to the super long board?
Also, what cable is used for the rs485 port?

yourashero, I recommend reaching out to longmill directly on this one my friend. They should be able to give you a little better guidance than I can on this one. Here's the link to their contact page →sienci.com/contact-us/?ref=idcwoodcraft.

rodneyquesenberry9526, that depends on what software you are running brother! For gSender, I recommend reaching out to longmill directly on this one my friend. They should be able to give you a little better guidance than I can on this one. Here's the link to their contact page →sienci.com/contact-us/?ref=idcwoodcraft.
