- I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

GETTING ready for WINTER
Good crowd tonight, even caught a glimpse of Bobby at the start. Scooter is so funny the way she just barrels across the deck. Wonder if Minnie will be the same, we do not see her as much now that she is independent. Lots of fuller figures now we are in Autumn, guess they will get bigger as the weeks pass.

I think the raccoons stay on the lawn because of the group of raccoons on the stairs. I think they are afraid of them.
I agree. Especially when the ones on the stairs are being grumpy! At least Angie & Jim are throwing plenty of hot dogs, cookies, grapes & marshmallows down to them. Manna from heaven!💕😅
I still have a raccoon coming in my house through the cat door 😹. My 4 cats & dog don’t care. It makes a mess of the cat food & washes its hands in the water. 🤷♀️
