EYELID TWITCHING

At times, in life as well as in medicine, it is way more important to know what needs to be safely ignored than what needs to be actively done. This is one such complaint which we, as neurologists, encounter very frequently, and rarely do we see a person with this problem who isn't hapless and frightened as hell due to it. This is known as eyelid twitching or eyelid myokymia, and at most times than not, it is quite innocuous. But, if this problem persists for a long time and is associated with other complaints as well, please do see a neurologist.
