Alec Steele Blacksmith 2019 - Розваги
Steele v stelter is the best. Maybe do entire day builds?
Like a season finale type thing right there.
Yes! Give this man some likes people, I want to see this happen!
@@westleyparker7810 I say do it every friday. Or compromise, live stream it every friday afternoon for 2 hours.
I wanna know if hes got a PO box. I drew up some designs i want him to take a glance at
I know in the comments on their last video, I suggested a 24 hour sword challenge. :)
I want them both out of their comfort zone.
Let's have them make armor
yotam delayahu yeeeess
F#$@ing genius
Or use a coal forge with no power hammers
Well of course will would make armor but alec would make armour
@@RykerSpeaks I think his gauntlets will be a metre long too
I was expecting jewels in alec's star. LOL
Ha ha ha!
In Damascus.
That would have taken 12 episodes:p
Only if they were building a guard for it. Lol.
Can Steele make good throwing stars? _Sure-he-can_
Sure-you-can
Someone give this man a medal
Shur i ken
That pun was on point
actually he can't though 🤷♂️😅
I'm a simple man; I see an Alec Steele upload, I drop everything and watch it.
Kim Jong-Un even waiting for Eli to upload in the stream? Bc same
@@bradleyholcombe6114 👎
I feel the same way, it's a natural response
Plot twist this is actually the leader of North Korea
That doesn't make a person simple your simple because your an idiot that talks bullshit
a foreign citizen comes to Montana and begins to make weapons, and radicalizes a local.
Hahaha
Oh God, he's on the loose!
Alexander Maxwell no one can contain Alex
Shortly after starting in the shop, a package arrived filled with weapons then said citizen picked up a falchion and wanted to go Village Pillaging. If that isn't radicalization I don't know what is.
Story of 'murca 😂
Throwing Stars are illegal in the UK...
Alec moves 3000 miles and sets up shop, spends a day making a shuriken. Why? Cuz Murica!!!
Lodogg 3323 addressing someone accidentally by the wrong gender pronoun is also illegal
I live in Evansville Indiana so throwing stars and ballistic knives are illegal but EVERYTHING else in the knife world is legal
Meh, nobody is going to cry if you forge shurikens on your own property, just don't have 'em laying around on the table when people visit. xD
@@frankherthem1794 So, calling you 'a pile of shait' would be illegal as well, wouldn't it? In this case, I can refer to you as to 'it', though, which is funny:)
@@frankherthem1794 oh, btw, I did it deliberately:) does it make the case any worse, legally speaking?
Steel VS Stelter #467:
Build a Damascus partical accelerator, open a portal to another dimension, send a forged in steel t-shirt to Cthulhu.
*do it in 10 seconds
10:38 I think it was more useful for projectiles to break instead of bend. So they do more damage and are harder to get out of your body. And if it hits something else, the enemy can not use it against you anymore :)
I am really enjoying the challenges.
However, instead of timed events, what if you guys had plenty of time and manufactured your very best product instead?
I really like that idea! They should do both, sometimes have a limit, sometimes not.
The content is starting to ramp up. Such a long lull during the move, but now Alec is back on fire!
d3lsl0w LITERALY CAUSE HES A BLACKSMITH HAHAHHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Aksel Draws literally the funniest reply I’ve ever read
“ON FIRE”, Throwing Stars ! These guys are kids playing with big boy tools. Seems they are not sure what to do.
@@MJ-nb1qn Watch thier longer multi-video projects, that may change your mind.
Dear Justin Chiao -. I have. Same comment. They just need time to grow up and act like men. It took me over 65 years, and a having to do a whole lot of “bad things”, but I got there.
You are a true inspiration to horse killers around the world
The horse is not dead until you flog it with all you got.
I legit laughed at this. Was looking for this comment!
Yes! Alec Steele! I’m finally getting a real anvil tomorrow!
This one was promised to me by my father. It was my Grandfathers but my father wanted me to be involved in blacksmithing for at least a year before he would give it to me.
You'll love how surprisingly useful it is for general purposes besides forging. I actually love doing center punch marks since I got a real anvil whereas I used to dread it
@James Abbott WOW she's a keeper .. You lucky guy ... :-)
Love the VS's. Brings out the best/ worst in both of you. Keep it up guys!
This is just getting better and better all the time. Thanks for sharing very interesting material andl learning more every time i watch. Thanks and Greetings from WW2HistoryHunter.
Can we please have "what in the flux?" Tee shirts
I think it would just be "what the flux"
"I don't give a flux"
"Flux that"/"Flux it"
"Get the flux out"
"For flux sake"
@@chudzy you win 😂😂"flux me running"
As AvE says, No Flux Given.
@@chudzy Flux off with your fluxing comment!! (good one tho)
Hey Alec I know your probably not gonna see this but, your a HUGE idol in my life and your the reason that I have invested in blacksmithing equipment and has started to make knives and equipment like hammers and other things for around my house... thank you sooo much again!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment!!
Alec Steele hey your the one that inspired me to start!
I too have just acquired an anvil and have been saving band-saw blades for my first knife.n Not sure if band-saw steel is worthy but I Will do more research before I start. Thanks to the both of you.
@@GarysBBQSupplies start with table saw blades unless you can get the huge industrial bandsaw blades
Stelter's had noticeably more mass and much more finely honed edges than Steele's. Awesome video, as usual!
"The horse is not dead until you have flogged it with everything you got" That is kinda beautiful. In a scary way.
Really like watching two different methods of work at the same time. So cool to watch. Thanks guys 👍😎
@@TriCkYiCe it is totally bad ass to watch.
You have no idea how much I look forward to your videos! This video made my night🤘🏻
STEELE- ambition and design
STELTER- constitution and execution
STELTER pulls through!
That's why they are such a good team.
with this it is official:
Will is the artist and Alec is the worker...both are skilled as hell
now I have seen so many videos on this channel and I have still no clue because this so much fun to watch these guys working...
There is something so satisfying about the scale falling off the heated metal.
Just finished building my first forge!!! Love your vids :)
Loving the video content Alec, keep em' coming!! Great build Will!
Cinematic coffee!
_raises mug of tea_
I liked this one a little more than the others because you were both going at the same time. The other ones, the person filming had more time to think about their process, and not repeat any mistakes the other one did. Well done! Great star Will, and well done trying something a bit more exotic Alec!
Those are some pretty throwing stars (regardless of how they perform)
I'm watching this while my forge heats up
No fair, I don't have a forge.... Yet
Wow, what are you making?
The first hit of the power hammer when the steel comes out of the forge and all the scale comes off... priceless.
This parallel challenge is even better than the previous. Great job a lot of fun to watch
Freedom looks so dang good !
Sorry alec, but stelter vs steele rolls off the tongue better :P
They should just rename everything "Willec Steelter"
alphawolf0020 I could get behind that
@@benwarman5202 me too 😂
@@alphawolf0020 willec sound like the iraqi phrase "hey you"
Ryan no it doesn't you idiot
These vs videos are absolutely brilliant. You get to see how different their styles are, and its brilliant. Two young men loving what they do and improving their skills through friendly jovial competition
Really, Alec, you're the winner. You moved to the land of Freedom!
Perfect, now I can go to sleep happy..... Thank you for the video.
I have NordVPN and Skillshare because of this channel. Excellent video as always.
Steele vs Stelter series of videos is just awesome and FUN you guys are making forging so much fun i just luv it
Made a star using an indexing head on the mill. All angles and holes were machined to within a .1mm tolerance (10th of a mm). Very satisfying, great vid, good to see you using the Bridgeport Alec.
Still waiting on that Alec Steele / Adam Savage collab
We need this
@@thunderusnight no...
WE. NEEEEEED. THIS.
"Shurikens are illegal in the UK"
A lot of things are illegal in the UK because it's the UK.
Great video, love watching you guys craft things.
*proceeds the make a shuriken anyway*
@Indosarnia just not the sexual exploitation and grooming of little girls. But this video isn't the place for a political arguement so I'll leave it at that.
Indosarnia Glad you prevented all those throwing star-yielding terrorists.. 😳😂
@@dragonwing4ever well Alec is in the states now so he can make and own such things.
Indosarnia There are many solutions to this “problem”. It just seems no one wants to implement them. Also I’d rather be able to protect myself than have to rely on the police, because “when seconds count, the police are minutes away”
You guys need to continue to do this against each other. Not only is it fun and informational to watch but will is learning from it as well
That negative comment is not need these two are making great content Alec has done thing a lot of people couldn’t even attempt. Cool to see the positive I’m sure that helps it does with me and my inventions cool to see these guys at work
Petition for Alec to remake his off camera for the aesthetic (like to sign)
Steele VS Stelter Episode 5, all day battle Axe build-off!
I have been with since close to the beginning Alec! So proud for you.....! Huge growth! Big move! And now you seem to be back up and ROLLING! Love seeing the consistent content! Great work men!
I'm loving this versus series. Would love to see it continue to even bigger projects.
I love how they are in a competition and they stop for coffee and are like how are you
You guys should make the thumbnail a picture of them only partially finished. Make us curious as to how they end up looking.
That’s an interesting idea! 🙏💪🏻
I'm glad you guys are finally doing one simultaneously.
Simultaneous is somehow even better. To see the 2 techniques side by side is awesome. Sprinkling these in with the regular progress videos is working out great!
"You want a cup of coffee?" "Do you even need to ask?" Hahahaha COFFEE!
Green, mongloid.
@@kaptein1247 I'm not sure how to react to that.
@IndosarniaIt was funny because of the timing. I'm just quoting the video if you didn't realize.
I'm imagining Thomas Sanders saying that and it's great
You guys need to do a point system. Points out of 5 for looks/design, functionality, time used (time how long till done for best work, vs other. Difference is points for person who is faster), and then finally voting by us. 5 or 10 points to whoever wins the poll. I want to see your best work, not a rushed effort.
I just get home from taking Alecs advice on starting out blacksmith by taking a course at a local forge and there is a new video up!!!! SCORE!!!!! Best day ever and really happy with my several projects I made today - just need to get my own gas forge now to start tinkering at home!!!
Great job guys this was one of my favorite episodes to watch. I liked how you both worked at the same time.
I think you shouldn't put the finished pieces in the thumbnail, as it ruins the surprise. Otherwise great video!
I get it's probably good for clicks but I wish they would just have Alec and Will in the thumbnail or something
Yeah have a pick of them hammerimg it close to the beginning or something
Make a One Day Build Sword Competition and than slap them together till one breaks. !
Nice Vid, Steele´s wasn´t sticking because its to light. If you "remove" the hole in the center it maybe would.
Boenedal That's dangerous to do. You don't want a sword breaking in your hand.
Loving the competition between you guys, it’s a nice fun interlude that makes me smile between the “big build” episodes, where i know your working hard but, sometimes it’s not very video friendly for you.
Keep it up lads. 👍🏼
The colors on the hardened steel are beautiful!
I am really digging these versus episodes. It's not easy to make a good throwing star. If it s not balanced properly it just doesn't work.
Bs I made one when I was 10 with mad mad tolerances and it works fine. Im talking mm of difference in length and width on each blade
Alec I told you that you should took those targets from UK! Haha good job both of you :)
I will reply to you friend. You also taught me to throw a knife
Will looked so cool with the bandanna on, great work guys !
watching it turn into a puck as he used the power hammer was so satisfying
When is the bobby duke/alec steele collab gonna happen😑😐🤨
I waunt thayht...
it would have to involve wewd working.
Yes that is a fricken fantastic idea!
It's happened a few days ago
And it was great
Function over form Alec form is for when you have time lol
I love this segment, good change of pace between videos!
My absolute favourite part.. 3:52
Alec being Alec in the background 😂😂😂
Next time he says millimeter, i'm callin i.c.e... 👮♂️
I like how hes drinking a cup of coffe just stading around and alec is stressing out which you dont see him do often lol
can we just appreciate that will looks like a boss holding the mug and just being so relaxed and casual its like art
Such a tv show feel! Nice as a change of pace.
Also, you should both go back in time to shop class and go head to head making metal tool boxes🤔
Ive got 9mins leftand im still drillings holes😂😂😂
Great job you guys, glad to see the longer format. Very cool.
These small contests breaking up your larger builds are very, very fun. I hope they continue.
So Will’s a car guy? Chip Foose Bandana 👍🏻
I thought there was something there, good eye!
The six pointed star could have been phenomenal but just took too long to do.
Loving these Steele vs. Stelter series:P
Love the nod to Ave coffee sequence.
Alec, if you gave it a little more effort I'm shurikon stick!
Alec's had the potential of being a superior throwing star (the hex shape is really neat) if the machinery had been set up in advance. Now you need a water-jet cutter for the shop.
Hi Alec, I'm a CNC programmer, a quick and dirty trick you could have used at 7:00 minutes when the star is spinning while being milled is to put a jacking screw underneath the part, on the opposite side to where you're starting the cut, so if you're starting in Y+ you could place a jack underneath in Y-.
I would love to see a Stelter vs. Steele where you guys have something like 2-5 hours to make anything just absolutely amazing (as you guys usually do). It just seems like you guys get super constricted to time with adds suspense and stress, so it would be interesting to see how you both would do where time is less of an issue?
Did you intentionally wear black coats so you were more ninja like?
5:32
I noticed you in the backroom
No
@@travisparsell6240 okay
These are great intermediaries between main projects. And I bet they are great team de-stressing projects for the business.
13:23 .. will looking lit ! ... BTW I am just happy you two enjoyed and had fun!!
How about you guys buy a plasma cutter to cut out high carbon steel into the shapes and then give them a sharp edge
ProChili cause that’s no fun
While this tends to work well enough with modern steel, that is not blacksmithing. Blacksmithing is an art as well as a science. Tools made by hand tend to be of higher quality anyway. But you are right; if he were going for quantity that'd be the way to do it.
Oi, ya got a loicense fur that throwing star?
One of the best channels on UA-cam great work guys
Will with the coffee cup reminds me of myself at my workshop, only I more than often have a beer at hand, instead of the coffee..
I love your vids and it always makes me laughter with the things u guys come up with I would love to come over and do a collab/ come and do some recording for u guys
1 minutes after video squad where you at?
Loving the S vs S series here! Awesome work guys!
When I made throwing stars as a kid, I usually started with scrap steel plates, marked the star pattern and then did most of the work with the drill press, drilling a line of holes, and then used a hacksaw between the holes, and finished the edges and points with the bench grinder. While I did stick them in anything/everything much the annoyance of my parents, the best target for stars and throwing knives is a nice big chopping block on its side so you can stick it in the end grain.
You want some coffee? You even have to ask? This video is sponsored by...
...
...
Wait... it is not sponsored by trade coffee...? Such a missed opportunity for the perfect segue..
6:03 "I broke off all that foreskin with the angle grinder..."
I love the head to head format, great video.
i really like those short-builds, but it seems like going safe makes a finished piece and making it creative and outstanding is a real poker game.
