- The Spotted Pig:
Chef April Bloomfield is a Chefs Chef in every sense of the phrase. The Spotted Pig was one of the hardest tables to book in all of NYC for its entire run. Packed every day for lunch, brunch and dinner, I lived nearby for nearly a decade and if I wanted a table I'd sneak in around 2PM on weekdays as the lunch crowds waned. The food was bold, in your face assertive, no compromises, and seriously excellent top to bottom. Good news for New Yorkers: she's back in town slated to open a spot with restaurateur Gabe Stuhlman in Ft. Greene in 2023...
Great to see Mike again after a bit of a posting break. Love the Oldies But Goodies shows best when Mike demos at end. A softer, healthier NYC back then. Hope to see more.
The Spotted pig was notorious for sexual harassment and assault. Wouldn’t call that soft or healthy.
Poor April :( She was one of the best , during that time.
What happened to her?
Poor? Why? She’s super successful.

Every time I watch one of these videos I Google it and most of them are closed... this one included
This show to be on every week on TV along time ago. They are just showing them again.
COVID and the lockdowns did a number on NYC restaurants. It’s crazy seeing these videos. It’s like a flashback to normalcy
This wasn't closed because of COVID or the lockdowns LMAO-- do a little googling @@whowasthat
What year was this filmed? 2005?
2008
Missing some critical details about Spotted Pig in the description.
I know right. Thank God this wasn't filmed 15 years ago moron. Anyhow she has a restaurant opening soon in Brooklyn called Sailor.
Thank God the restaurant isn't open anymore. Because that's when things really start to fall apart.
