The special investigations career field is not entry-level; in other words, you cannot become a Special Investigations Agent when you first join the Air Force. Enlisted Air Force members may apply for special agent duty once they've first served in another career field. Those eligible are master sergeants, technical sergeants, and staff sergeants with fewer than 12 years of military service, Senior airmen with fewer than six years of service, and senior airmen-selects. All applicants must have outstanding performance and disciplinary records. The Air Force Office of Special Investigations hires special agents from the ranks of active duty and reserve personnel as well as civilians. No prior law enforcement experience is required, but candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree with an accumulative GPA of 2.95 or higher. Preference is given to those candidates who either have prior relevant work experience or who hold an advanced degree.
Realistically, how long would it take me to be considered applicable and or worthy? Also, what's the commitment timeline and training pipeline (how long are both)?
Having a bachelor’s degree is incorrect information. It is not necessary if you are enlisted and retraining into the career field. It is only necessary if you are a civilian looking to join OSI. I am in the process now.

So read the book *"Consequences: An Intelligence Officer's War"* (2020) by *David Grantham* does a superb job describing what it is like to be an Intelligence Officer in a Combat Zone. As a member of the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations (A.F.O.S.I.), he describes one of the most difficult disciplines in the Intelligence Field, Human Intelligence, which includes recruiting and running sources, as well as analysis to create an all source product for Commanders and other National Security Decision Makers to use.
You can’t shadow unless you are awaiting a class date. I am in the process of retraining to them now. I tried to shadow, they said no because of that reason. So they were down to talk to me in person and inform me on the job and how to get in.
