XC90 owner. After 3 years of ownership, I’ve probably paid 6000 in maintenance. I’ve never paid this much in maintenance for any car I’ve owned. Getting a Japanese car next time.
I’ve had Volvos for over 20 years and did the maintenance myself. We bought a used S60 from the dealer last year, the first oil change was supposed to be included, so I called to schedule. Apparently my car already had the three free oil changes done, so I would have to pay. Here’s the kicker, the car had 27,000 miles when I called to schedule, service department said since it already had three oil changes, it is due for the 40,000 mile service at about $800. I haven’t figured out how doing more frequent oil changes means pulling other maintenance items forward by 13,000 miles, but the dealer insisted that is what was needed. I did the 10,000 mile service items myself for a small fraction of what they charge and won’t be going back for anything other than warranty work. I have an excellent local mechanic specializing in Volvos for anything I don’t want to do. We also have a Honda Pilot, I would have preferred another Honda, but wife insisted on another Volvo.
@ Yeah, the Volvo was my wife’s choice also. It’s a thing I guess. My Volvo service did the same thing, tacking on services I didn’t ask for. Like a $120 software update that doesn’t seem to have changed anything on my car (there is a class action suit for this needless update that I need to request a refund for) I didn’t know Volvo service costs were this inflated. Fortunately my wife is onboard with a different car.
What exactly is this light for? I just hit 60,000 miles so I'm guessing thats it, hopefully it's not oil cause I'm still about 2k away from needing that
Hey mate , I got a serious issue going on my volvo XC60. I had taken my XC60 to a high altitude mountain road, the roads were bad so I was mostly crawling on those bad roads. I got a message on my dash saying my DPF got clogged and regeneration was required. After the regeneration my car is not giving me the same power as before. The acceleration has become linear and everytime I push the accelerator, I don’t feel any G force the car struggles to move initially and then slowly picks up the speed . I have tried complaining about this multiple times to my volvo dealer and they kept sending my car back to me saying that everything is normal. Do you have any suggestions on what all parameters to check in the car and rectify this problem 🤷♂️
Be sure to release the cruise control button WHILE the information icon is flashing. I held the cruise control button down until the flashing light stopped and it didn’t reset it. Try again and it should work.🤞🏻

You repeat the title in the video. Why? And just do the operation. Don't tell it to me then do it.
Why so negative? The video ain’t long. I feel bad for your partner. 😂
