You bet :) I filmed some new ones this weekend, that I'm looking forward to sharing very soon! I couldn't believe how well granulation medium works with acrylic inks. They're so fun to play with.
Thanks for sharing! Do you have a favorite brand? I have the DR Raw Sienna, but the Liquitex version almost glows compared to DR. Unfortunately, the video cards at the end covered the dried swatches 🥲
Eek, let me try to fix the video cards - thanks for letting me know! I find it hard to directly compare them so far, as I don’t have the exact same colours across brands. Good to know about your comparison of Liquitex & DR for the Raw Sienna though!
Christie, I just wanted to quickly let you know I fixed the video cards at the end of the video, so they shouldn't be blocking the dried swatches now, if you want to check them out. Thanks again for alerting me :)
We all start somewhere. Aquire paint is the first step :) Your acrylics in a tube would likely be a medium or heavy body. If it doesn’t say, I would assume a medium body. They can be thinned down with water to extent, and that may depend on the brand. In this video, I was specifically using acrylic inks, which are a different, but related product. I recommend just starting to play with whatever you have. Try different ways of applying it, either to a thick paper, or canvas, or wood. Try using it at full strength vs watering it down, and see how that affects it, and what you seem to like. Let me know if that’s helpful?
Your explanation was clear and consice and said in a way to be accepted readily....nice review....thankyou for taking your time to do this video....much appreciated.❤
24:26 ooh, thanks for showing some examples of your abstract landscapes! They really do look like you did them in watercolor 🤯
Can’t wait to see more!

@@RenBrennanArt I agree! Lovely... reminds me of Jean Lurssen's work. Can't wait to see more!
Thank you so much! Now I’m off to look up Jean Lurssen :)

@@RenBrennanArt Awesome! Thanks so much for letting me know! Happy arting! 🎨
My acrylic isn’t liquid
Are you using regular acrylic paints, eg heavy body, medium body, fluid acrylic etc? These are quite different in terms of consistency.
@@RenBrennanArt I’m not sure but it comes out a tube , as you can see , I’m a beginner, so I don’t know types of acrylic 😂😂😂

@@RenBrennanArtok thx for explaining
Far too slow
No worries, I appreciate your feedback. Have you tried watching the slower videos at faster speed? I sometimes do this myself (eg 1.5-2x in UA-cam).
