    I purchased 26 pools from NPRS after losing my job during covid, and Scott just kept telling me just GET IN! I'm glad I pulled the trigger I now have 62 pools, and 2 of them are commercial. Best move I've ever done! THANK YOU

    If no one has ever said it, thanks for the chapters. I'm not a pool-pro, just a pool owner, but I am interested in some of this. The chaptering makes a 40 minute "nope" into something I definitely get 10 minutes or so of use out of. Good stuff.

    i loved the info in the podcasts with you guys. finished it today. i get he wants to push the pool route sales but this industry is ass backwards right now with costs. employees are non existent, chemicals are through the roof and he is blowing it off like these are nothing. i want to hire and grow my route but i cant afford to pay someone 50k. just not in the cards right now. i have around 40 pools and its gonna cost me 14k in chems this year most likely. last year was close to 9k. its still easy and great money. but i hope things turn around somewhat soon. its tough starting out let alone finding chemicals to keep customers happy through the season...

    Do you have a recommendation for someone to install complete new pool equipment in Chino, CA. It seems everyone is millionaires and retired. Can't find anyone.

      I can put you in touch with a few people still out there who haven't reached 7-figures yet. 😆 My buddy Vic can do it. 909-266-6938. Let him know David referred him.

    Pool chemicals are going up in price way too much in my humble opinion.

      Yes- and I am of the opinion that this will not end this season.

    David, just gave notice and will start as a subcontractor for a pool guy. 50-60 pools $15 per pool. Or I could finance a rout of 50-60 pools. Any advice? Thank you so much ...

      Financing is pretty tough. There are only two ways that I know that will work. A HELOC - Home Equity Line of Credit or put together some cash with an investor - AKA a rich relative! 😂 No way to get a small business loan.

    How much is a pool route?

    • @SPL
      @SPL  2 роки тому +2

      Usually 10x the gross of each pool a month. So if you buy 50 pools and the owner is getting $130 per pool that would be $6,500 a month or $78,000 a year. So 50 x $130 x 10 would be $65,000 for the route. That is overly simple as there is repairs and other revenue but the general idea is there.

      @@benben6054 i was where you were. its worth it to take the jump but unless you have aptitude for office work like book keeping and taxes and invoicing, its not as easy as just cleaning pools. you can of course hire it all out but there are significantly more costs involved. if you start, do an LLC set up as an S corp and get insurance.

      Dont move to Florida. Try 7 or 9 a pool and being asked to work partially or fully under the table quite often. Been cleaning pools 3 years now in FL part time as a semiretirement job to stay busy so money is not the main factor. The fact that I actually do some cleaning/spend some time on my pools seems to make me a top level pool cleaner. Not surprising considering most are out there trying/expected to slop in a hundred pools a week in a 35 to 40 hour work week. Of course the constant turn over and customer complaints are not the fault of any of that and is all about how lazy people are or the government is paying them not to work rubbish. Its dam near like an episode of the twilight zone and when it starts to get hot this summer I am done trying to help.

      yeah true. It’ll only work out if the route is tight. that’s 27-30 an hour. If you need more or the route isn’t that tight. ( most aren’t even though they always claim) You’ll just have to start your own pool company.
