I love that Ant really tried to describe things or characters in a language he doesn’t use that often. And actually, he speaks ok Chinese, totally understandable.
I can speak conversational mandarin, but I’ve never had to use gaming terminology before 😭I tried my best HAHAHA

It’s so interesting to hear the characters names in Chinese and how different some art from English. They sound very nice c:
As someone trying to learn Chinese (and not doing very well) I actually really enjoyed listening to Ant speak chinese. Most people I can find speaking Mandarin are way too advanced for me and I can’t enjoy watching, and although ant isn’t the best at speaking it, I still loved watching this. I know he probably doesn’t plan on improving his Mandarin but I would love it if he did more things like this, whether in video challenges or just for a few minutes in streams.
Fr, same journey but i don't know where to start
I really wish i could speak this amazing language
I can help you learn chinese, and could you help me learn english?
I'm like HSK 2 so gotcha, I can try to help
i agree, i only know some basics so it's nice to hear and understand even a bit of what he's saying. it'd be cool if there was a discord or something to practice the language with other learners
i'm Chinese,bless you!
As someone also learning Chinese, I love this video so much! This was so fun!

在拉丁文体系中标点符号仅仅做到了语气的作用,而在中文中能做到携带信息的作用,故在此论证了,相同字符数量的情况下中文的信息量是远远大于拉丁文体系的,更别说在这里抛弃掉了成语,俗语,歇后语等其他地道的的语言用法,这些用法都很有意思包括和English中“kill two brides with one stone “对应的是中文中的一石二鸟,甚至还包括了English的谐音的笑话;
eg
which ward you think is simplest in the world?

Why?
O, I see why

As a Malaysian, I think your Chinese is already very good 😂, I was surprised when I listened to them(I mean the characters) talk and learned their names in 16:40. As a Chinese, I often play the English version of Genshin Impact to learn English. I think the English text of Genshin is very helpful to improve my vocabulary.
The Chinese version of Genshin is very friendly to Chinese learners. They use a lot of proverbs and idioms, which are very close to the language habits of actual Chinese conversations. If you can master the Chinese in Genshin, you will probably be able to come to China and talk to any local.

@@zolliu_3278I agree
as a native english speaker, i'd say the english version (especially recently) uses a lot of modern slang and terminology, so you'd probably be able to hold a really good conversation and sound like a native just from learning english from genshin! of course not all of it will be applicable, but the npc speech is definitely good for learning conversational english. good luck learning!

Am I the only one who felt like Genshin's Chinese VO is underrated? Like, all we heard before is about the awesome voice of Japanese or English VA.
It's sad cause Chinese VAs have contributed MANY amazing fanworks to the fandom. All the original songs, animation videos, and many more. Now I honestly spent majority of my game in Chinese VO, except probably for some limited time events so I can experience them in all the language
tbh i feel like people completely forget genshin/hoyo is a chinese company sometimes :( makes me pretty sad lol ppl only bring it up when its something negative
@cheesm33 Honestly? Understanable
Despite having multiple amazing creators, from gaming, actors, singers, and animators, Chinese as a whole is pretty toxic to them, from their fandoms to the law that gatekeep things in the mainland.
I'm pretty sure that's why Mihoyo decided to change it into Hoyoverse & turn their company an international one.
@@violettegami4582 no yeah i think there are definitely valid criticisms/negative aspects but i feel bothered bc it also plays into the trend of mostly non asian people seeing everything good abt asian media/things as japanese (majority of people play the game in jpn/things that originate from cn be labeled as japanese) ?
and i do understand its because genshin has an "anime" art style and most people are more used to jpn dubs because of anime but it still sucks a little as a cn person to see😭
