Thank you so much for your very instructional video on changing the cabin filter and the engine filter. I am a 71-year-old woman and the dealer was going to charge me over $200 to change both these filters. Instead I watched your videos, and your videos were very clear and I knew I could probably do this on my own. I was able to change both of these filters by myself in about 10 minutes!!! Thank u so much for your great videos!!!😊
This is the best video for changing the filter. I’m 77 and don’t do anything on cars anymore, but put gas in them……lol. The dealer said next oil change to change this, but I ordered one from Amazon. I’ll try the cabin filter too……lol. Thanks
Great video! When I saw that the dealer was gonna charge me $100 to replace the Cabin and Engine air filter I said screw that, I'll do it myself. Changed the cabin filter without a hitch, but when I went for the Engine Filter and I saw the platic tube attached to it, I started doubting myself thinking I had to remove that to access the filter. Thanks to you, I now know that the process is INCREDIBLY easy. Again, thanks so much for the video! EDIT: Im back 5 minutes later. Changed the filter without a hitch. Thanks again man!
4:45 I feel your pain. I did this exact maneuver checking the air filter after I had completed an oil/filter change and buttoned the belly pan completely. Sigh. Your video is very complete and easy to follow, thanks.
I took my 2022 CRV in for oil change new filters, new tires and other maintenance items. I was stund when Honda wanted to charge me $150. to change my cabin filter. So, I went to the dealership and bought one for $26 and installed myself. Don't let this happen to you.
Nice, Walmart sells a Fram N95 air filter for $19.97, for the engine air filter I just stick to the Honda OEM part, can save a few bucks by ordering online
I purchased, at your suggestion, Spearhead air and cabin filters for our Hondas. The gasket on the engine air filter is rather fragile, allowing it to pull away from its position. With careful installation there appeared to be no problem. However, the OEM's, which I previously purchased through a Honda dealer, online, exhibited superior construction in this one area. BTW: the cabin filter seemed fine.
Thank you for the feedback. Looks like their quality is declining then. I will start trying other filters and recommend the better quality ones. This is why I don't take sponsors, makes it easy to keep viewers interest first. Thanks again.
This was a fantastic video. Precious and easy to follow. I watched and did the cabin filter also. One thing I did was add a sticker with date on it so I knew when the lady one was put in. Thanks again.
Everyone if you are using a socket because it’s too tight to use screwdriver, be very careful after replacing it and tightening the screws back with socket. I just broke one of the screws head. Going to Home Depot now to hopefully find something that fits there but if anyone knows the exact screw name or sth, please let me know.
@@girlgonechild I found it on Amazon and honestly they were better than original OEM. Price wasn't bad. It comes with packet of 4 so I have 3 extra in case I break them again! lol
I'm trying to replace the engine filter on my wife's 2019 (first change to my knowledge) and those 4 screws appear to be factory sealed/screwed and won't come loose with the tools I have, nor using a drill bit for help. Are there any options to get them loose/unscrewed without resorting to dealership/mechanic power tools? They won't budge at all. Great videos by the way - already changed the cabin filter. Trying to save as much as I can 😂
Thank you for your videos, very informative and easy to follow. Much appreciated. Do you have any videos on how to reset Front Radar Sensor on 2017 Honda CRV? Someone removed mine from the car, however, I purchased one from the dealer and installed it myself. Now the lights are flashing on the dashboard. Do you know how to recalibrate it?
Unfortunately you need equipment to calibrate it. It doesn't have to be the dealer, some shops have Hunter made equipment for ADAS calibration. Ask around. Thanks.
@@croissantdiet7513 Do you want to remove the rust or you have issues removing the screw itself? For rust start spraying it with wd40 and use wire brush. Do little everyday and it will soon be cleared. Alternatively you can replace the screw with new one.

👏 congrats! You not only did it but saved some money by doing it yourself. Yes you can get the screw from home depot, Lowe's or auto store. Take out one of those screws and take it to the store to match. Good luck.
Thanks so much. The only thing I’m paranoid about is the screws falling out when I loosen and pull up. Is it easy for that to happen? Didn’t look like it in the video.
@@JJCentral-DIYthanks so much! I tried to open it, but the dealer must have tightened the screws a bit too much. I tried to unscrew all of them and it felt like it I turned the screwdriver more, that id strip the screws. Do you know which tool I’d need to untighten the screws? I’m assuming the tool would still be less expensive then going to the dealer
Thanks so much! Now I'm going to see if you have a video on how to clean the engine and other areas under the car hood. I subscribed few minutes ago when I watched how to change the cabin filter. 😊
Thank you for your kind words. I do not have a cleaning video, but it's simple. Don't hose off water, rather cover any electrical connections and alternator with grocery plastic bags before gently spraying engine degreaser and water. Wipe of everything. Excess water in the engine bay is not a good idea.

Thank you for your tutorial. When I clicked on your link for Amazon, there's a pull down menu for many different sizes. Do you know the size of the filter for 2018 CRV?
@Hibiscus 2018 CR-V comes with 1.5L L4 turbo engine (most common) and also a 2.4L L4 non turbo engine (base model). Assuming you have the turbo engine the size would be 10.9x7.6x2.7in
