A series of wildfires swept across the Texas Panhandle early Wednesday, prompting evacuations, cutting off power to thousands and forcing at least the temporary shutdown of a nuclear weapons facility. At least 60 counties are under disaster declarations due to these wildfires.

I live in California and have done so for most of my life. I have friends in Texas. Prayers for all the people in harm's way.. for those in the path of these horrible fires, for those in the path of the tornados in illinois and other places, for those in California who are threatened by landslides and flooding. As Americans we have always prayed for and reached out to help others caught in disasters.

It's windy and dry down here, its not uncommon for grassfires in this area to happen. So yes, it totally makes sense it is this bad, i should know I'm in the Texas panhandle.
