That was very generous. Maybe when u do those surprises or when ur eating at a vendor how about some history, like what inspired them to open a food booth, where did they get there recipes whether they where handed down from generations and so on. I would be interested in how they became and made a name for there great food. Just a suggestion. My grandparents where from mexico and still have family there, its always good to know my culture especially of types of foods, even though many cultures make it differently. Thanks Dolores

My neighbors were from Laos... Very nice humble people... We used to exchange food and they definitely loved my mama's cooking... We loved their food as well... One thing I still couldn't do til this day is the Balut (egg with bird in it) lol

Why did this make me cry? Meant so much to her. I love gorditas but have to wait until there is a market days or some special event. Then everyone in town looks for the stand that sells them. And we all wait in line for our turn. It's so worth it!

My people fight so hard to make it everyday while I have it so easy here in America. It is these morals and traditions that keep me fighting everyday, even with risks of being deported because of fucked up people like trump. I only say that because I am being deported over un fair reasons. I'm not scared of going back home because these will be the people I am surrounded with, and if they could make it, then I could make it also. when you see an abuela or grannie or big momma or nonnie you realize how close our cultures all are.my italian nanny cooked just like this obviously the food was diffrent but sorta the same family style rustic no frills all with their tricks they learned from their abuelas and Delicious as hell.great as always pisuarez
