I did the same as you ten years ago! Now ten years later the world finally understands how important it is to stream races live! IMSA and the WEC do it with every race which is amazing! Now just NASCAR and INDYCAR have to understand this. Their races are uploaded the next day on UA-cam anyway! Better upload it themselves and earn that ad revenue.
The Ferrari 458 did won the Spa 6h in the WEC, and won the last three rounds of the ELMS in GTE. The Alex Job/Team West Ferrari car actually got pole at Road America, but failed stall test. So it depends really.
Great race from the Delta Wing Team, really thought for a moment they could challenge for the overall win and i'm of course really happy for SRT's first GT win in the ALMS since Adelaide 2000/2001. Great race, but it has to be 4h race again next year in the USCR.
It's a lot faster to just have jacks built in than to lift the car with normal jacks, considering these cars are much heavier than Formula cars and the pitstops are already going to be a lot longer.
What is the point of a 2h45m race, if it all just comes down to a crap shoot? It's a timed race for a reason. It comes down to lasting the time, green or caution.
I think the series handicaps the cars in different ways so that there is close racing. Like giving one car a smaller gas tank because it's gas mileage gives it an advantage or restricting horsepower in another or adding weight. Maybe they've overly nerfed the Ferrari. Or it could just be a generally slower car or bad drivers. I wonder what it would be like if all of the cars were closer to stock and didn't have weight adjustments and other restrictions.
Great race. Congrats to SRT! Sad to see the coming end of the P1 era in the US though. Just wish we had more competition in P1. It might have made it more difficult for Nascar to get rid of P1 for 2014. I still don't know how this new series will work. Especially since the Daytona spec prototypes want to be the top racing level in the series. Guess they will have to slow the P2 cars up then to make that happen. So much for 24 hrs of Lemans then I guess. And what of the delta wing for 2014? Sad!
Does IMSA have a similar youtube site or will be having a similar youtube site to this? That was one of the things I will miss about the ALMSOfficialVideos site.
They have said they will upload all the races to UA-cam and the imsa.com site. Sounds good to me :) Although the lack of streaming and RLM is a HUGE backwards step.
What happened to Chris Dyson and Guy Smith? When they drove, he could give Muscle Milk a run for its money. Instead, they give it McMurry and Burgess who in my honest opinion don't stack against Luhr/Graf.
Why do they allow races to finish under yellow these days? That should be number one on the list of modifications for next years merger. Its not fair to the fans who pay big money to attend these races. Guaranteed that will increase the fan base knowing a green flag finish is inevitable. Also the venues will make more money due to the fans staying to the last second. Those 15 minute caution periods need to be dealt with too. My two points go hand-in-hand. Thank you United.
cubanob247 it is a timed race, if a yellow is out when the time is up then the race is over and that is a better solution than adding 15 minutes to the race(it wouldn't be the 12 hours of Sebring, for example, if it lasted 12 hours 18 minutes) to finish under a lap or two of green. It also ruins several strategies and could turn races into fuel lotteries.

The live coverage for this race was 70% ads 10% rushed commentary and 20% words from your local ABC station. This was completely pitiful, the whole point of being in the national network is to GAIN fans NOT lose them.
I would like to second Marcus' question. I have been missing John Hindhaugh since the beginning of the year. He can usually be heard during qualifiying, but not during any of the ALMS races this year so far on ESPN3. Very, very disappointing! Please, ALMS, bring back John Hindhaugh as a main commentator!

straight line speed is killing them. The 458 alex job west was actually on the pole but failed the stall test.
