- This video is what my thoughts are of the new 4520N Kubota EFI. This tractor is a power house. I loved everything about the 4520N. I talk about a few things I noticed compared to my diesel. 4520Z owner here. I’ve got about 200 hours on mine. Overall, very happy with the Z. Absolutely no lack of power. I do a fair amount of steep (although not prolonged) mowing. So I’m using Tough cut, 72” side discharge finish mower, stump grinder, aerovator, rotary brush, turbine blower. Plenty of power for all. My two complaints are fuel consumption and starting. Mine always starts easy, but must be choked, even when warm. No noticeable fumes to contend with. Never have had an overheating issue, but I clean the radiator filter often. Air filter too, for that matter, but that’s a Ventrac thing regardless of engine. For comparison, I’ve got a Skag Cheetah with the 34-35hp Kohler EFI and it uses substantially less fuel per hour than the Ventrac. Overall, I love my Ventrac. No regrets.
It is nice not having to chock the new EFI. The tractor ran cool, I never had any issues with the temp getting hot, Just some heat coming off the exhaust. Gas tractors always put off a little more heat than a diesel. I was very happy with the 4520N. If I needed more power I would not hesatate to get the N.
You can always put a small turbo on the diesel for more power lol
I like the diesel with the customized 374 turbo edition that you can get.63hp.I like the real works headphones. Mowed lawn 36 mph and didn't hear a thing.
I think for slope work.. ventrac recommend the petrol engine.. the diesel doesn't have the same run time on slopes
Always heard EFI gives another 1.5 to 2 H.P. more to an engine. I would think it is pushing around 34 H. P. with the EFI, but I am NOT A MECHANIC! I want that sign you have sitting beside of you LOL! Thanks for the video!
I had been looking for a lighted Ventrac dealer sign for a while. I ha sold a few Cub Cadets a few months back and the person that had come to get the 782 seen the Ventrac and he told me he had a sign, But was not sure if he wanted to sell it. A month or more went by and he told me he would sell it. I am glad to have found one. I cant wait to get it hung up in the shop lit up. I am very happy to have found one.

If you are doing hillsides, you just about half to go with the Kawasaki efi engine in the P. It has the highest rating for continuous slopes and it uses just tad more gas than diesel according to Ventrac.
Probably just my OCD but is there anything that would have stopped the headlights from being horizontally?
why is there a cat? curious to kjnow if it can just be straight piped lol theres plenty of muffler options out there id assume.
you every tried 4500z or 4520z on propane (anybody)
Tjey have discontinued the propane kit a few years back. I think it was a really great idea to offer it, But I am sure they did not sell many. I never had a oppertunity to try one.
