Hi Ross I have a question you might be able to help me with. Can you inform me about the size of the terminal block on the Simarine quadro shunt 50A? What I am interested in knowing is how big the cable lug can be fitted. the size of the screw, and the width between the "walls". Thanks in advance from Denmark
Hello Ross, quick question...will you be reviewing the "Caravan Control" with the SPDU52? I'm trying to figure out the difference between this and the regular Pico Monitor.
Hey Brian, I wasn't going to, but I can reach out to them and see if they'll send it. I bought the PICO items but was not intending to buy the Caravan. It does look very nice and to me it's a monitor + controls with the buttons controlling the relays to turn things on and off. Just a higher level of a seamless RV experience. The only thing I don't like about the buttons is what if you don't have that item? But I know sometimes we customers are impossible to please. It looks like a fantastic item.
Does the Pico have a means to export or access data for logging over time? The NMEA module seems to be for sending data to the Pico. The interwebs mention Simarine offering an API but there is no mention on their web site.
I don't know about an API but for data logging and export, it could be potentially logged by another device through the NMEA module, but the PICO itself will log for just a few days. In this case the Victron VRM portal will log up to 6 months using a Cerbo GX with internet connection or removal and uploading of its micro SD card. Hope that helps!

Nicely done! Very informative.
Thank you Patrick!

Hi Peter, yes - 12mm wide between walls, screw is 5.5mm. 6 AWG / 16mm2 terminal size with 6mm hole would be the max it seems.

Hi Ross
I think Simarine has made a mistake in terms of labeling.
Usually one marks a relay with: COM, NC, NO.
