Saying that I like this version doesn’t mean I don’t know jazz, as liking something is a matter of personal taste. I think the main reasons why I enjoy this version more is due to the modern recording technology and I enjoy the horn players tone much more than miles. If someone says they like something better than something “classic” that doesn’t mean they are wrong because you can’t be wrong about how much you like something.

@@aidanmcbride3780 okay, I get it! You like the “modern technology” of the sound. Very superficial!! I don’t call myself an aficionado of jazz, but I am a person who appreciates jazz fervently. Technology can make you think you’re listening to something great, but you need to listen to the jazz creators. I’ve been listening to jazz since the days of Monk, Coltrane, Rollins, Mingus, Tyner. My ears tell me that Goldblum’s rendition is good...but Miles is better. I’m a very old jazz head. No one could ever convince me Goldblums rendition is as good as Miles Davis’ version.
