I started studying Yerushalmi when ArtScroll put it on their app with daily daf. I love seeing the nuances and variations between Yerushalmi and Bavli, although I am still a beginner. It’s something I look forward to every day haha thank you for the video and your scholarship! שבוע טוב
I've started following Dr. Abramson's daily short podcast on Jewish History in Daf Yomi, and it's very illuminating! Highly recommend with your Daf if you don't already know of it

This is a great summary that taught me a lot. Thank you, Henry. My earliest scholarly exposure to the Talmud was in 1973 at the Religious Studies Department at the University of British Columbia.
I have no proof of this hypothesis, but I have always believed that the greater breadth and depth of the Bavli's discussion and analysis of the Mishnah also contributed to its being selected as the primary basis of Talmudic and halachic study.
The Jews believed God would one day provide a sacrifice to redeem all men from their failings. The called this man-sacrifice, “the Promised One” and “the Redeemer” and “Messiah.” When Jesus of Nazareth lived, he fulfilled the more than 300 prophecies about Messiah. Jesus Christ is the Jewish Messiah. If you want to enter heaven, not hell, when you die, Jesus is the ONLY way.
