Why do people hate the Sims 4 graphics so much?! To be honest there is nothing wrong with them and I really like it more than the Sims 3 graphics. Am I the only one who likes the Sims 4 graphics?

Me as well. For me, sims 3 is stormed with a lot of bars and pop up windows to the point that it's irritating and I don't know what to do anymore. Sims 4's style is far better. The windows are clean and everything is easy. It's just superior. And with people complaining about the open world thing, nah. Even with limited worlds, Sims 4 is better.

The comparison side by side from the sims 3 to the sims 4 was such a difference. I am so excited for this game you have no idea. I wish it was out already. The CAS looks amazing!

I agree, I like the eyeliner. However, I do hope this will not be a standard thing. I would like to have the option, just like in the sims 3. I am a little bit worried that the winged eyeliner might be the replacement for eyelashes. I hope not. I'm only basing this on the fact that in none of the sims 4 vids sims have eyelashes.
Please note: I'm just being difficult :P In general it looks like an amazing game and my weird thing about the eyeliner is just nitpicking.

i think the more traits the better. the more unique each sim is. the trait system is one of the best ideas in the sims 3. i think they should also bring back the turn on and turn off system from the sims 2.

I hope you can open windows now in Sims 4 and jump rope, basketball , actually play a game of football. Walk side by side, allow children to pick up babies and have a Pre-Teen life stage. I also wish you could have a conversation while walking side by side

Wait you can't adjust height D: I always wanted to make some sims taller or shorter than others T_T, thought it would be a feature in this one but blah!
I also find it really unnatural when you put any female sim in heels for things like formalwear that they don't get any taller but stay the same height. Makes no freaking sense. (small nitpicks)
changing the height will pretty much kinda mess up interactions, Example, when you kiss your partner the shorter person will be kissing the chest area or something. Yeah, They make it a big deal pretty much

well I hear that the minimum for the Sims 4 is equivalent to Max on Sims 2. It is better optimized for older and lesser powered pcs. so that is good.

Everyone is too busy looking at what the Sims 4 doesn't have. It's a new game, not an expansion for The Sims 3. The Sims 4 may be taking away some key features that The Sims 3 included, but it's also adding a bunch way cooler things I would rather have. Sure it's not going to have Create a Style, Toddlers, Pools, Basements and some other things, but does that really matter. Without Create a Style, I bet the loading times will e way faster because the game doesn't need to load thousands I textures which we really don't use. The only thing pools were actually used for was pretty much drowning sims (face it). Since Toddlers are gone, I'd say that Babies and Children will be way more interactive and do a lot more things now. Again, stop looking at what it doesn't have, and look at what it does have.

Why is this in my recommendations 7 years later?
After trying out the TS4 CAS demo and going back to TS3, I find using sliders really awkward to control and the sims weren't just as good looking there. You would probably need a shit ton of CC and custom skins, etc. to make TS3 sims well, decent and not looking like pudding-faced dolls.

I agree but I thought it was silly I had to buy weather for my game, something so simple that comes with any other game we have to pay money for. It sucks that we have to pay so much just to have these simple things they could include in the base game.
So after 3 games is it crazy to think that they should include pets, universities and more than 30 hairstyles in the base game?
I so agree with them just starting the game out with the essentials. Weather/pets etc..those things we shouldn't have to wait on and spend more money to get. We are obviously loyal fans if we've been playing the game for 10+ years.
Why is there so much hate on the looks? The only reason they make it so cartoony is so everything runs faster and so there's a lot less lag than the Sims 3. And honestly at first I hated the look too, but after a while I've actually come to love it.
Same I was 100% I didn't have to spend 59.99$ on this game because it didn't look good but now it's grown on me and I'm obssesed!

I gotta be honest, I was one of the very few who LOVED it from the beginning. I mean, you had people who hated it, people who tought: meh, people who liked it a bit, but you didn't really have a big community who loved it the second they saw it. But they were there.

It looks awesome! but with create a style not being there, it makes all the cool new things they added null and void to me. I mean if they gave sims 3 the same graphics and computer requirements as sims 4, and the same ability to customize bodies, i'd be happy. The emotions look amazing. but really, in the end, thats not whats gonna keep me playing.
Create-A-Style is one of the best features of The Sims 3 but it's also one of the features that makes the game slow and laggy! Btw 4:20 there's a button on the top that looks like it could be Create-A-Style let's not lose our hope yet :)

I really hope they don't teleport into their cars like in The Sims 3.
And for kids who go to school there should be a more better system when it comes to school bussing. The game should randomly generate designated school bus stops of reasonable walking distance around a town so all kids have to walk to it because tbh making the bus stop at every house is unrealistic. And kids who live closer to the school would only walk. I know it might mean that some kids have to wake up a bit earlier and some but it makes more sense.
And please for goodness sake EA, seperate the high school from the elementary school and please don't let them be rabbit holes.

I think there should also be an option to drop your kids off at school. Like, I know you can in sims 3 but you have to click on the roads near the school to take them and it puts you all in an annoying group. I'd like it if in sims 4, we could have an option to just click on the school and "Drop kids" and automatically, the parent and kids get in the car and go.
yes and I also missed how in the sims 2 the parent or the older sibling could drive and take the others to school.
IcySync that's a great idea! but seriously, the school not being a rabbit hole would be awesome - think of all the possibilities! you could have them interact with the teacher and other students, that would be awesome! and it would be awesome if they could get better at skills like drawing they can do in school.

ShifraSays The import and export features were only for the Sims mobile app games
XskelatorX It was a valid question. Back in the day, you used to be able to import your cities from Sim city to Sim city 2000 and then into Sim city 3000. In Sim city 2k, you could import your cities into streets of Sim city and into Sim copter and travel through them. Hell, you could build Sims in the Sims 2 and import them into Sim city 4 to live in your city. If maxis really wanted to, they could make it happen, but I doubt they are going to put fourth the effort.
It wouldn't be a transfer but you could recreate your Sims with a whole new look if you want

Sims 4 is first time I ever post something I love playing and being a simmer and being sim UA-camr thank u for making this game it helps me in so many ways be happy when am sad I love it create my pets ones I lost and I can create my dad who died when I was four and have relationship with him thank u love sims so much idc what my haters 🙂 say
What annoys me the most about the Sims 4 is the fact that there's no color wheel. In the Sims 3 you could customize the color and pattern of every single section of a clothing item. You could pick any existing color from a color wheel and alter the shading and transparency. In the Sims 4 they just give you a small selection of combinations, so you can't even have a color scheme most of the time. Also, in the Sims 3 you could change the color of the roots, base hair, and highlights of the hair individually, again, from a color wheel. Now you have a small selection of single-colored hair colors, and you can't even alter the shading freely. I don't get why they cut that out.

I don't understand why they only have 3 traits... How can you make a realistic personality out of 3 traits?
We're pretty sure that was just for the video. So that they could keep it short and sweet.
You can see that when he chooses the traits a small sentance pops up saying "Not all images represent actual gameplay", implying that just like LadyoftheDreamless said, it's probably shortened for the trailer.
It's confirmed you can have five traits on twitter.

Ok, I played the Sims game for HOURS back in the day. Totally addicted, now there is Sims 4, however after watching this clip I noticed the graphics haven't changed as much as I expected. I heard this edition will cost $80, I'm still waiting for a trailer that will make me say the cost would be worth it .. still waiting.

Sea Creature It is ... :/ I'd price it around 40, 60 at best. I haven't seen anything worth 80 about this game. But I'll reluctantly buy it anyway since I'm tired of TS3. The only things I personally like about the new game are the organic AI (emotions+), and integrated gallery. I'm not feeling the rest....
I don't mind the artstyle, I like it actually. But I wish the graphic quality was better, and add physics for the hair and clothes. It's like they've focused so much on accomodating mid-range PCs to the point that they've forgotten about the people with good computers...
jnperez01 Yes, but the majority of people don't have good computers. Economy is tough. According to Amazon, the $80 is a special edition version.
TeamFlare Celosia the special edition is always around 80, and the plain sims 4 will probably be 49.95 as usual

This is where the Sims was ruined. They got rid of the lure and used “alternative dimension” as an excuse to put less effort in the game. It’s just so sad. If Will Wright stayed maybe, just maybe, the Sims 4 would be better.
So sad, but on there newest live stream they talked about the lore and hopefully they'll addit.

I hope theres more stages of growing up like baby,toddler,young child,child,pre teen then teen.. I think it would be better if it took longer to grow up :)

They can't please everyone.. I for exempel would HATE that since i always think the baby-toddler-child and sometimes teen phases are pretty boring. :P
It would also mess up the sims age.. If they just added the phases without changing the other ones it would be super weirdly long and stuff. If they made the stages before adult shorter.. It would be shorter, if you know what I mean.
If you really want your sims to grow slower, I would recommend using the "Tall" and "Age" mods from modthesims :)
