- On Saturday 3rd June 2023, we started and finished at Black Lake but walked from Priestfield into Wolverhampton filming the trams in service as well as the extension to Wolverhampton Railway Station which is now completed and ready for trams.
Full scale testing starts on Monday 5th June 2023 and Tuesday 6th June 2023. Soon after, the 12 minute service to the station will start combined with a 12 minute service to St.George's restoring the combined 6 minute frequency not seen since the start of the pandemic.
At around 10:00am, CAF Urbos 100, 57, made its public in service debut from Wednesbury Parkway to Wolverhampton St.George's leaving for Edgbaston Village at 10:35. However, the fates were against it as, on arrival at Edgbaston Village, it became stranded behind a broken down bus in the "to City" side of Fiveways tunnel - the second day on the run that the Tramway had to terminate at Library because of a broken down bus!
As we were leaving Black Lake, CAF Urbos 100, 46 had been pressed into service as a temporary replacement until 57 could be released.
Trams in service were:
CAF Urbos 3: 17 29 31
CAF Urbos 100: 39 40 43 44 45AD 46 48 51 53 57
