Is it common practice or weird to send a thank you email?
It’s not common from my experience, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that interviewees haven’t done it before
im thinking about joining an alumnae chap. another prospect said they haven't done intake in years. Ive been attending there events since march and noone has mentioned intake. theres now about 9 prospectives what do you think they are waiting on? Also i hate to be a nuisance and keep asking but i want to know if they will ever accept newbies
That's a great question. Intake really depends on the chapter, so I would reach out if I were you.

How can i find out when is an informational
Can i email the chapter or how should i go about finding out
In undergrad, sometimes you have to look for flyers around campus as most chapters are discrete about their intake. Some orgs will also inform you about informational during open forums such as Intake Orientation or you will be invited by the chapter members.
For grad chapter, you are invited by their Chair. But you can reach out to them and ask them for more information about their events so that you can get to know their members.

I think you may want to be prepared to answer why you, someone who is not Black, want to join a predominately Black Greek organization. Remember, you're attempting to join a sisterhood, so they want to if they can bond with you.

Wearing the colors of the sorority that you're interested is generally frowned upon. I recommend wearing neutral colors or colors that do not directly align with the organization

That honestly depends on the chapter so it varies from hours to days. They’ll tell you during Informal

TheQueenScorpionOshun it depends on the chapter. Some take hours, others take a few days. From my experience with my sorority, we follow the same rules of notifying applicants in UG and Grad but our timelines vary based on when we start Intake.
