    Family and friends always think it’s for free or on the cheap. They just don’t understand it cost us money for the supplies and our time is money too.

    Hi, we really like your videos just started watching them. I have a question can we use any other apples besides Granny Smith apples? Which ones do you recommend? Thanks

      Thank you. I recommend Granny Smith because they are easier to clean. Now if you’re just making them for your family and don’t care about a few bubbles on the candy, then yes you can use whatever apples you want.💕

    Is the butter vanilla extract the same thing you use in cakes that you put in your candy apple mixture because my candy apple mixture, it keeps got all scorched taste to it

      I use butter vanilla by Lorann's because this is what I love and my customers never want any other flavors besides the original flavor which is my butter vanilla. You can certainly use whatever flavor you love. If you have a scorched taste that's because you cooked your candy too high or let it slightly burn. I also avoid reheating my candy because cooking the same candy again to another 300 degrees will give it that scorched like taste as well. I hope this helps you.💕

    Let the family know you’re not a discount store you have bills just like they do.. now if you’re feeling generous go ahead and help out but let it be your choice.

    I don’t know how you get those apples to not be sticky. I have ordered the hi sweet from your Amazon store and I really don’t know why my apples get sticky and/or melt 😢. They just stick to the darn bags every time. 🤦🏾‍♀️ but I keep trying

      Cherry you must live in a humid area or your kitchen is very humid and warm. In your case, you may have to wait until Fall or Winter in order to make them. Don’t feel bad, because there’s a few that have to wait on those seasons as well due to the humidity.
      If the Hi-Sweet doesn’t work, your kitchen is good and cold around 60-65 degrees, and your candy apples are still melting and or sticky before bagging them, you need to wait it out until Fall/October or Winter. I hope this helps you, and I wish you the best of luck with making candy apples.💕

      Mine are hella sticky too. Could it be bcs I don't use Karo syrup. I just use water sugar , white and coloring.

      Candy apples can get sticky if they are not made or stored in a non-humid cool space.
      They shouldn't be getting sticking or melting while you're making them or before you bag them after dipping the candy apples either. Why you don't use Karo/light corn syrup/Hi-Sweet? I've tried candy apples without corn syrup but I definitely can tell something is missing and really didn't care for the crunch either. It seems like the candy wasn't right.
      Again, if your candy apples are coming out sticky or melting as soon as you dip, you either don't have your kitchen 60-65 degrees or it's very humid in there. If you're in a hot city or state that's always hot/humid, you may need to wait until it cools in the Fall or Winter to start making candy apples. A few have to wait during those seasons and be successful with making candy apples.
      I live in the mountains with trees and shade everywhere so I don't experience that issue and plus my entire house is 60 degrees in the Summer. 65 during Fall/Winter. My mother's house is always 80 degrees even in the summer because she be in there with the heat on and I tested out candy apples over there just to test the Karo vs. Hi-Sweet and still had a pretty good turn out with Hi-Sweet considering it was 90 degrees outside and her house was around 80 in the video tutorial here - ua-cam.com/video/QqNr5ZILwug/v-deo.html but again it depends on where you live. I also tested the candy apples sitting outside for 2 hours in 90 degree temperature and had a great turn out with Hi-Sweet. However, try in those seasons and see how it works out for you. I hope this helps you.💕

    What measurement of flavor do you use for smaller batches. For instance for 6. Still 1 1/2 teaspoons?

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  10 місяців тому

      Pretty much…lol. Like 1-6 apples you can use 1 teaspoon. 7-12 you can use 1.5💕

    So Far My Family Really Respect My Price, Once they Went to store With Me and The time for Prepping and Everything, No Problem, They Pay Me And Support Me!!!, Thank You So Much I Changed To Your Recipe and Thank You, Can I use your method of cleaning for red apples, I have orders for them from time to time. AGAIN THANK YOU!!!!!

      You’re so welcome.💕I wouldn’t recommend red apples because they have more natural sugars in them. So it’s hard cleaning them when the sugars release from the apples causing the sap. So with that said, you can make them but there’s a high chance you may have a few bubbles on them. If your customer only wants red apples, give them what they want but let them know they may have a few bubbles on them and tell them why. I hope this helps you.💕

    How many drops would you use red candy apples??

    • @DIYQUEENDIVA
      @DIYQUEENDIVA  Рік тому +1

      If you are a beginner get a teaspoon and do one teaspoon at a time until you get the desired color. Use a super red gel food coloring so you don’t have to use that much red gel food coloring.
      Always be careful because too much gel food coloring can make your candy apples thick.💕

    It's wrong. I hate when my sister in law tries to do that to me every year for my twin nephews and do call me for nothing else.
