The symbolic interactionism theory, founded by Herbert Mead, is concerned with studying daily interactions between individuals and how these interactions affect social reality. This theory emphasizes the importance of symbols and meanings that individuals assign to things and events around them.
Finally, the structural-functional theory, developed by Robert Merton and Talcott Parsons, views society as an integrated system where each part performs a specific function that contributes to the stability and balance of society as a whole.
These theories provide different frameworks for understanding how individuals and groups interact within society, and how these interactions shape social and cultural structures. Each theory offers a unique perspective that can be used to analyze and understand various social phenomena.
