These egg planes or “cute” kits are often considered not “real”. I just completed a Tiger Models F4U Corsair. The build quality and fit would put many more “serious” kits to shame. The instrument panel decal was brilliant and far superior to many.
You are right Chris. I think it's a matter of intent - I recall many years ago once of the best aircraft ID books had caricatures in it, each highlighting the recognition features of the aircraft. They looked nothing like a real aircraft, but you got used to checking the line of the windshield or the position of the inlets or whatever and you had laugh along the way. Anyway, ultimately, how "real" are the vast majority of kits we make out of moulded polystyrene with walls many times thicker than the original with little or no true internal structure?
I love the serendipity of your build choices Gary! It strikes me as strange with this one that there's no pilot figure given the assumed target market and that the box art features one. I know that it comes with that odd, flag bearing figure (others have explained why this is) but that's not the same; I think they've missed a trick.
Great work mate ,only disappointment in the cockpit detail no YOKE 😂,they said the skin got hot enough to fry an egg 😊,glad you like it All the best Mark 😊😊
Love it. I will be keeping my eye out for one, or more. I can see where it would be great as a MoJo builder, and a ton of fun as a bonus. Enjoy your time away🌞
What a lovely looking model and with so little effort well done Gary (can l ask what primer you use please l know you mention it but would have to go through all your video 👍)
Thanks Gary, that was EGGcellent.
Why am i watching this at midnight🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me too 🙂
@@grahamhutton3129 maybe its because its the Blackbird and night time is its element.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sure, I use Jenolite acrylic for plastics in a spray can, but NOT the surface filling one or you'll lose your panel lines!
@@garys_stuff Thank you Gary 👍
You could do a second one as an A-12!
Lovely wee model 👍🏼
There is also an aftermarket egg D-21 drone available!
@@garys_stuff et voilà!
The egg scales are lovely wee models. Enjoy the holiday.

Having seen the real beast in the flesh a number of times this gave me such a chuckle this morning 😂 nice one Gary 👍
Brilliant as always Gary !! hope your enjoying your holidays !!! all the best Shaun.
Very nice. Hasegawa should include the original mini dioramas in their releases.
What happened the Russian figure that came with the kit ? 😂☘😎
I've built it and started painting it but it didn't seem to fit in anywhere!
